Private Medical Care
Supplementary insurance provided for all employees and their eligible dependents. Google will reimburse you up to €200 (300 CHF) for your basic & supplemental medical coverage, €200 (300 CHF) for your spouse and €100 (150 CHF) for your child(ren), per month. |

Short Term Disability / Sickness
Supplemental benefits in the event of sickness provided on insured salary of up to CHF 200,000. Benefit provides 80% of insured salary for up to 2 years; maternity provided at 80% of insured salary for up to 16 weeks. Google pays 100% of the cost for this benefit. |

Disability
Disability in the case of sickness: BVG.
- Pension: 60% of insured salary.
- Children’s pension: 6% of insured salary.
Disability in the case of sickness: UVG / UVG-Z.
- UVG: Mandatory workers’ compensation benefits provided on salary of CHF 106,800.
- UVG-Z: Supplemental benefits in the event of an accident provided on insured salary of up to CHF 200,000. Lump Sum at 1 times annual salary. Pension at 80% of insured salary.
Google pays 100% of the cost for this UVG and AVG-Z benefit, and 60% of the cost for BVG benefits. |

Life Insurance
Coverage at 3 times annual salary for death in the case of sickness, with spouse’s pension at 40% of insured salary, and orphan’s pension at 6% of insured salary. For death in the case of accident, coverage at 3 times annual salary. Google pays 100% of the cost for this benefit. |

Travel Accident Insurance
Coverage at 2 times base salary to a maximum of US $500,000. Covers emergency medical treatment for the sudden onset of illness or injury while traveling outside of Switzerland, as well as worldwide assistance services, repatriation, medical evacuation, and lost baggage and cash. The Business Travel Accident coverage is provided through ACE USA. |

Defined Contribution Pension Plan (BVG)
Two tier contribution schedule for retirement benefits. For BVG mandatory, the required contribution on second pillar salary (currently CHF 75,960) is a function of age and gender. For BVG supplementary, 10% of earnings over the mandatory second pillar salary; this is in addition to the required contributions on second pillar salary. Account balance is used to purchase an annuity. Google pays 60% and the employee pays 40% of the percentages. |
