Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates generally to a golf club, and more particularly to a golf club bag, which has a simplified structure and a telescopic stand assembly.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • Conventional golf club bags mainly are classified into two models. The first one is that the bag stands uprightly on the ground and the second one is that the bag stands in a leaned condition on the ground. The second golf club bag is popular to consumers because that it is convenient to player to get the clubs.
  • The second golf club bag has a telescopic stand assembly and the telescopic stand assembly is retracted and leaned on the bag while the user carries the bag and is extracted outwardly to stand the bag in a leaned condition.
  • The main drawbacks of aforesaid golf club bag are the weight increasing of the telescopic stand assembly and the complicated structure thereof. In the prior art, U.S. Pat. No. 4,834,235 and U.S. Pat. No. 6,564,937 disclose two golf club bags, both of which have a smaller weight and a simplified structure.
  • The first invention has a structure that still can be simplified. The cost of the manufacture of the second invention is higher than the first invention and the weight thereof also can be reduced.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a golf club bag, which has a simplified structure and a smaller weight.
  • According to the objective of the present invention, a golf club bag comprises a bag and a stand assembly. The bag has a flexible barrel with an opening on a front side thereof, a base fixed to a bottom of the barrel, a head frame fixed to a top of the barrel and a reinforced device. The reinforced device is made of a material harder than the barrel and is projected from the head frame. The reinforced device has a predetermined length shorter than the barrel. The stand assembly has two shafts pivoted on the head frame at where opposite to the reinforced device and an elastic member. The elastic member has a bottom end inserted into the barrel and pivoted on the base and two free ends pivoted on the shafts respectively. There is a predetermined distance between a pivotal position, which is the elastic member pivoted on the base, and a periphery of the base.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a right view of a first preferred embodiment of the present invention;
  • FIG. 2 is a front view of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention;
  • FIG. 3 is a right view of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, showing the bag standing on the ground in a leaned condition but the stand assembly not extracted;
  • FIG. 4 is a right view of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, showing the bag standing on the ground in a leaned condition and the stand assembly extracted, and
  • FIG. 5 is a rear view of a second preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • As shown in FIGS. from FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, a golf club bag 10 of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention mainly has a bag 20 and a stand assembly 40.
  • The bag 20 has a barrel 20, which is made of a flexible and lighter material, such as cloth or nylon, and a base 22 fixed to a bottom of the barrel 20. A head frame 24 with a predetermined height is fixed to a top of the barrel 20, which has plural ribs 26 at an interior side thereof to form departments between the neighboring ribs 26 respectively. A reinforced device 30, which is a curved bar in the present preferred embodiment, has an end thereof fixed to a rear of the head frame 24 and the other end thereof fixed to the barrel 20. The reinforced device 30 is made of a material with greater hardness and smaller weight, such as an aluminum tube or a plastic plate. The reinforced device 30 is fixed to the barrel 20 is at where a position of 40% of a height of the barrel 20. The reinforced device 30 serves as a handle in the present preferred embodiment to facilitate user to grip the golf club bag 10 of the present invention
  • The stand assembly 40 has two shafts 40 with ends thereof pivoted on the head frame 24 respectively. There is a predetermined distance between pivotal positions P1 of the shafts 40 and the pivotal positions P1 of the shafts 40 are located at a font of the head frame where opposite to the reinforced device 30. There also is a suitable distance D1 between pivotal positions P1 of the shafts 40 and a bottom of the head frame 24. An elastic member 42 is made of elastic metal and is formed as a V shape. Free ends of the V-shaped elastic member 42 are pivoted on the shafts 40 respectively and there is a distance D2 between pivotal positions P2 of the elastic member 42 and the bottom of the head frame 24. The distance D2 is shorter than a distance D3 between a bottom end of the reinforced device 30 and the head frame 24. A conjunction end of the V-shaped elastic member 42 is inserted into the barrel 20 via an opening 28 and is pivoted on the base 22. A distance D4 between a pivotal position P3 of the conjunction end of the elastic member 42 and a periphery of the base 22 at a front side, which is the side having the stand assembly 40, is shorter than a distance D5 between the pivotal position P3 of the conjunction end of the elastic member 42 and the periphery of the base 22 at a rear side, which is the side having reinforced device 30. An angle θ between the elastic member 42 and the base 22 is smaller than 90 degrees.
  • The bag 20 has an elongated cloth 32 having its middle section crossing one of the rib 26 and its ends fixed to the base 22 and an interior space 34 is formed therebetween. The section of the elastic member 24 in the barrel 20 is received in the interior space 34 prevents golf clubs put in the bag 20 from being jammed by the elastic member 24.
  • The elastic member 42 also can be made into an Y shape (not shown). For the Y-shaped elastic member, a bar like section thereof is received in the barrel 20 and it does not jam the golf club, so that it dose not need to provide the cloth 32 and the ribs 24 can be designated in various layouts.
  • While the golf club bag 10 is put on the ground, as shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, the weight of the clubs put in the barrel 20 might presses the elastic member 42 via the head frame 24 and the shafts 40. The free ends of the elastic member 42 are moved outwardly from the barrel 20 and move the shafts 40 outwardly. In the meantime, the reacting force from the ground to the base 22 forces the base 22 attached on the ground via the pivotal position P3 and the shafts 40 are against the ground. The golf club bag 10 of the present invention stands on the ground in a leaned condition. The barrel 20 is wrinkled at the front side and is flat at the other side and kept its original length.
  • While user grips the reinforced device 30 to lift the golf club bag 10 of the present invention, the weight of the clubs put in the barrel 20 presses the base 22 and the shafts 40 are drawn back via the elastic member 42 as shown in FIG. 3.
  • As shown in FIG. 5, a golf club bag 10 of the second preferred embodiment of the present invention provides two reinforced devices 30 on a back thereof. The reinforced devices 30 are two parallel bars with ends thereof fixed to a head frame 24. The golf club bag 10 is further provided with a grip 36 at between the reinforced devices 30. The grip 36 is made of a soft material and is fixed with opposite ends thereof to a barrel 20. The length of the grip 36 is longer than the reinforced devices 30.
