Description
このような草刈機に関する技術として特開2002-27815号公報記載の技術が存在する。
特に、作業時に回転刃が障害物に衝突した場合、あるいは刈取り装置が絡まった場合に瞬時に動力を切断することができず、装置を損傷させ、また故障の原因になるという問題があった。
本発明は係る従来の問題点を解決するためになされたものであって、その目的とするところは、乗用草刈機の運転席のハンドルの直下に刈取り装置のクラッチレバーを配置して、緊急時に瞬時に刈取り装置の動力を切断可能とした草刈機の刈刃クラッチを提供することにある。
請求項1記載の草刈機の刈刃クラッチにおいては、運転席のハンドル下方に刈刃のクラッチレバーを配置したので、刈り取り装置に異常が生じた場合または過大な負荷がかかった場合に、瞬時にハンドルから手を離してクラッチ切断をすることができる。
従来の刈刃クラッチは運転席の側部のいわゆるサイドパネルに配置されていたため、ハンドルから手を離してクラッチ操作するまでに時間を要していたが本発明ではその操作時間が短縮される。
つまり、クラッチが復帰する最終位置まで手で操作する必要はなく、短い距離を押し下げる、あるいは上から軽くたたくようにクラッチレバーを操作することにより動力が切断される。
動力切断時にはU字形レバーがハンドル下方に垂下しており、動力接続時にU字形レバー先端が円形ハンドル外縁の運転席側の直下近傍に位置する構成としたので、ハンドルから手を離してスムーズにクラッチ操作を行うことができる。また、クラッチレバーがハンドルの直下に位置するので、走行機体への乗り込み時及び作業時においても作業者のじゃまにならない。
図1は本発明を適用した乗用草刈機の側面図、図2は本発明を適用した乗用草刈機の平面図である。
図1,2に示すように乗用草刈機は前後輪1、2を備えた走行機体3と、走行機体3中央に設置された運転席4と、走行機体3の後方に搭載されたエンジン5と、走行機体3の下側に配置された刈取り装置6を備えている。
前記運転席4の前方にハンドル7が配置されている。
図3は乗用草刈機の概略背面図、図4はクラッチ構造の説明図である。
図3,4に示すように、乗用草刈機の背面には後方に向かってエンジンの駆動軸13、刈取り装置に動力を伝達する回転軸14が突設されており、それぞれの軸にはプーリ15、16が設置されている。
エンジン5の駆動プーリ15と刈刃の回転プーリ16の間には2本のベルト17が架け渡されており、このベルト17を介してエンジン5の動力が刈刃に伝達される。
駆動プーリ15と回転プーリ16の間にはテンションローラ18が配置されており、テンションローラ18がベルト17を押圧してベルト17にテンションを付与して駆動プーリ15から回転プーリ16へ動力が伝達されるようになっている。クラッチレバー12操作によりテンションローラ18をベルト押圧方向へ移動させると、ベルト17に張力が生じ駆動プーリ15から回転プーリ16へ動力が伝達される。
図5はクラッチレバー及びクラッチワイヤの配設位置を示す側面図、図6はクラッチワイヤの配設位置を示す平面図、図7はクラッチレバーの取付け状態を示す正面図である。
クラッチレバー12は図7に示すように、金属製の棒状体をU字形に屈曲させたレバーであり、機体の左右方向に配設される直状の先端辺12aと、その先端辺12aの両端から丸みをもって略90度屈曲した左右の側辺12bを有している。
クラッチレバー側辺12bの基部はハンドル基部の左右方向に挿通された軸19に軸着されており、その軸着部を基点としてクラッチレバー12は鉛直方向から運転席側へ上昇しながら略90度、または90~120度の範囲で回動自在とされている。尚、このクラッチレバー12の回動角度はクラッチレバー12の取付け位置等に応じて適宜設定される。
刈取り装置6を稼働させる場合には、運転者がU字形のクラッチレバー12の先端辺12aまたは側辺12bを把持して軸着部を基点として下から手前へ回動して引き上げ、レバーを水平よりもやや高い位置に係止する(図5(b)参照)。この動作によりクラッチワイヤ20を通してテンションローラ18がベルト17を押圧して動力が接続される。
図5(b)の刈取り装置6に動力が接続された状態では、U字形のクラッチレバー12先端が円形ハンドル7外縁の運転席側の直下近傍に位置している。つまり、U字形レバーが運転者の方向へ向かって略水平方向へ伸び、U字形クラッチレバー12先端が円形ハンドル7最下端の数cm下に位置している。
ここで、本発明ではテンションローラ18によるクラッチ機構を採用しているため、テンションローラ18はバネ18aによってベルト17から離反する方向に付勢されている。
そのため、動力切断時にはクラッチレバー12を押し下げて所定領域を通過させると、テンションローラ18がその復帰力により動力を切断する方向に復帰する。
従って、図5(b)の状態で係止しているクラッチレバー12は、この位置から数cm程手動操作により引き下げると、クラッチレバー12の係止状態が解除されテンションローラ18のバネ18aによる復帰力に付勢されて、図5(a)の状態に復帰する。つまり、緊急時にはクラッチレバー12を数cm程度上から軽く叩くように力を加えるのみで、クラッチが元位置に復帰して動力が確実に切断される。
尚、このクラッチレバー12の係止状態を解除する構成としては、係止溝、係止突起等にクラッチレバーを係止して、その係止状態から僅かの力を加えて係止状態を解除し、その後テンションローラの復帰力によりクラッチレバーを元の位置に復帰させる構成等の他の公知技術を採用することもできる。
クラッチレバー12の引き上げによってピン12cが回転するとクラッチワイヤ20が引っ張られテンションローラ18がベルト17を押圧する方向に動き、クラッチレバー12が垂下してクラッチワイヤ20が送り出されるとテンションローラ18がバネ18aによる反発力によりベルト17から離反する。
取付座21は走行機体の中央先端から運転席方向へ向かって斜め上方に突設された台座状の構造体であり、ハンドルの下面にハンドルの傾斜と平行のフロントパネル22が配置され、プロントパネル22の下側側面はカバーによって覆われている。
クラッチレバー12はハンドル7の基部であるフロントパネル22の裏側に回動自在に取付けられて取付部から垂下し、垂下位置から運転席方向へ略水平方向まで回動する。
尚、取付座にはハンドルチルト機構が配置されハンドル位置が調整可能とされている。
このハンドルチルト機構はハンドルとクラッチレバーが連動して動く構成とされ、ハンドルとクラッチレバーの位置関係は常に同一とされる。
クラッチレバー12を押し下げて動力を切断すると。テンションローラ18はバネ18aによってベルト17から離反し、同時にブレーキシューがプーリ16を制動して刈取り装置の回転刃を停止させる。
また、テンションローラ18がベルト17を押圧して動力を伝達する際にはブレーキシューがプーリ16から離れてブレーキを解除するようにしている。
運転者は運手席4に座り、上下昇降レバー8を操作して刈取り装置6を刈り取り可能な高さに降ろし、回転刃を作動させ、副変速レバーで走行速度を選択設定し、HSTレバー9を傾動させることで走行機体を走行させるとともに、ハンドル操向する。
U字形のクラッチレバー12の先端辺12aまたは側辺12bを把持して下から手前へ回動して引き上げ、レバーを水平よりもやや高い位置に係止すると、テンションローラ18がベルト17を押圧して駆動プーリ15から回転プーリ16へ動力が伝達され、刈刃が回転し草刈り作業が行われる。
このとき、U字形のクラッチレバー12がハンドル7の下方に配置されているので、レバーの一端を把持して容易に操作できる。
ここで、U字形クラッチレバー12の先端辺12aが円形ハンドル7外縁の運転席側の直下に位置しているために、クラッチレバー12とハンドル7の距離が近く、切断時の手の動線が短縮され緊急時には素早くスムーズにクラッチレバーを押し下げることができる。
クラッチレバーの動力切断操作に連動してブレーキシューがプーリ16を制動して刈取り装置の回転刃を停止させる。
例えば、前記実施例ではU字形のクラッチレバー12について説明したが、運転席のハンドル7下方に配置する構成であれば、円形、楕円形等その他の形状のレバーを採用することも可能である。
また、前記実施例ではハンドル7を円形としたが、円形以外のハンドルに適用する場合であっても同一の作用となる。

Claims (5)
- 走行機体に草刈用の刈取り装置を取り付けた乗用草刈機に適用する草刈機の刈刃クラッチにおいて、
運転席のハンドル下方に刈刃のクラッチレバーを配置したことを特徴とする草刈機の刈刃クラッチ。 - クラッチレバーを上昇させて動力を接続し、クラッチレバーを下降させて動力を切断する構成とした請求項1記載の草刈機の刈刃クラッチ。
- 動力切断時にクラッチレバーを押し下げて所定領域を通過させると、クラッチ機構を構成するテンションローラの復帰力によりクラッチレバーとテンションローラが動力切断位置に復帰する構成とした請求項1又は2記載の草刈機の刈刃クラッチ。
- クラッチレバーはハンドルの下方に取付けられた上下方向に回動自在のU字形レバーによって構成され、動力切断時にはハンドル下方に垂下しており、動力接続時にU字形レバー先端が円形ハンドル外縁の運転席側の直下近傍に位置する構成とした請求項1~3いずれか記載の草刈機の刈刃クラッチ。
- 刈刃クラッチの動力切断時に刈取り装置の回転刃にブレーキをかける構成とした請求項1~4いずれか記載の草刈機の刈刃クラッチ。
