This densely white-velvety hairy species is tufted, with decumbent to ascending stems about 15cm in length. Basal leaves obovate to spathulate, stem leaves rounded. Flowers erect, bell-shaped, 1.5-2.5cm long, in shades of blue with a white base. Southern Spain, in limestone rock crevices. Probably best in an alpine house or dry wall. Not to be confused with the 'C. mollis' of gardens which is a form of C. isophylla.
