Geophagus sp. "Tapajos Orange Head"
Status within Australia: Available, but many are mislabled Araguaia variants.
Other names: Tapas, Red Cheek, Red Cap Geophagus
Characteristics:

Breeding Behaviour:
Highly striped caudal fin, double barring on the flanks, red / orange colour on forehead area (intensity of which can vary between individuals probably due to dominance).

Larvophilous.
Comments: There seems to be some true Tapajos variants around although you need to look hard. Weidner suggests that the "Orange Head" fish from the Rio Tapajos and Rio Araguaia are in fact sibling populations of one and the same species. This species also occurs in the blackwaters of the Rio Arapiuns; a lower tributary of the Rio Tapajos.
