ASO selects wildcard teams for the Tour de France
Four teams were invited to the Tour, three French (Cofidis, Credit Solutions, Direct Energie and Team Fortuneo - Samsic) and a Belgian (Wanty - Groupe Gobert)
The organizers of the Tour de France announced Monday the selection of teams for the 76th edition of Paris-Nice (4-11 March), the 70th edition of Critérium du Dauphiné (3-10 June) and the 105th edition of the Tour de France (July 7-29).
In accordance with the rules of the Union Cycliste Internationale, the eighteen UCI WorldTeams teams are automatically appointed. Four teams were invited on the Tour, three French (Cofidis, Credits Solutions, Direct Energie and Team Fortuneo - Samsic) and a Belgian (Wanty - Groupe Gobert).
A new team led by Jérôme Pineau and led by Bryan Coquard, Vital Concept Cycling Club has been invited to the Critérium du Dauphiné 3-10 June.
