So, I’m not a great meme user online and I can honestly say that though it makes me less “with-it”, I know but a few and even those I use sparingly compared to most folks. I have my moments but they are few and far between.

That said, probably my favourite of all time has got to be the Facepalm. For those of you that are even more fuddy-duddy than me and don’t even know what that is, according to knowyourmeme:

The act of placing one’s face in one’s hands, or “facepalming” is a gesture of nonverbal-communication common among many cultures. The action conveys a message of dismay and is often a reaction toward someone’s momentary lapse of logic, judgement, or memory. This reaction may be directed toward another person or be self-deprecating.

And according to Urban Dictionary:

The act of dropping one’s face / forehead into one’s hand. Usually accompanied by a “thunk” or a cr a cry of “D’oh!”

The only logical answer to a stupid question or statement. 

So, I decided that I’d present you with a few laughs, some random general knowledge(-ish stuff) and post a list of my ten favourite versions of this universally applicable and very versatile action that we all have need for in our daily lives, sometimes more often than we want which yet again calls for: you got it, facepalm!

#1 – …but nothing beats the expressive power of a Tommy Lee Jones grumpy old man implied facepalm! The day you can do this, you rule all!
