Born from traditional Indian craftwork and modulated by Shettar’s creativity, her work concerns the interaction between synthetic and natural elements. Her work sports a spontaneity not often seen, “There is an element of chance in how you see the sculpture, in terms of how it positions itself in space according to movement of air in the space,” she says. The exhibition will also hold an exclusive work, named Interplay, an intricate bead and thread display, evoking imagery of a sunshower and composed of beeswax, thread and wooden spheres.
