Description
English: MITTENWALD, Germany -- After a long day of rain, rucking and climbing, Soldiers from the 18th Military Police Brigade and Bundeswehr return to their home base during exercise Alpinedistel 2016. The two-day German mountain warfare training exercise took place July 20-21 and July 27-28 here. It's designed to challenge the physical and mental toughness of the participants as well as prove their proficiency in mountain operations. The teams were led by specially trained instructors from the Bundeswehr 23rd Mountain Brigade. (Photo by Staff Sgt.
