Summary[edit]

Description

‘Miss Kerala’ (Puntius denisonii) is a freshwater fish that is endemic to the running water bodies of Kerala’s (in South INDIA) Western Ghat region. A simply captivating ornamental fish, only recently did the species get introduced even in Kerala as a showpiece of fish tanks and aquariums.

It belongs to the barb family and is also called the ‘red line torpedo barb’ because of its red lateral bands
