April

May

The Tarpon frenzy is in full swing in May, and the Silver Kings aren't the only fish in town. A ton of Snook, Permit, Redfish, and Trout will put inshore anglers through their paces.

There's only one thing on everyone's mind in June: the Red Snapper season is here! Head out to the reefs for huge hauls of Snapper and Grouper, with the chance to catch Sailfish and Tuna on the troll.

July

You'd better make room in the freezer come July. Red, Mutton, Lane, and Yellowtail Snapper are swarming the reefs, as are Red, Black, and Gag Grouper. Get ready for memorable fishing times and a feast right after!

August

Joey and Linda were outstanding hosts on their beautiful fishing boat! They made sure to make us feel welcome and made sure that we caught fish! Captain and crew were great. Knowledgeable and wasted no time getting to the fish wherever they were biting. Inshore trip in March so nothing giant but the 2 of us caught probably 20+ fish in a few hours including a handful of keepers. Would recommend for all skill levels

We did the 8 hour fishing trip with 5 of our kids, ages 6-17. Captain Joey and Linda were wonderful… we are fishing novices and they were so patient with all of us. The captain was knowledgeable about where to go and where to cast our lines so we came back with plenty of fish, Linda was so sweet and helpful with the kids and was just wonderful! We had an absolute blast! We are so glad we took this trip!

Captain Joey from Sea Dawgs was a fantastic captain and knew how to put us on the fish! Extremely accommodating, interactive, and knowledgeable. He also had lines set out that actually hooked us into some great catches. I highly recommend Sea Dawgs - we were eating fresh fish that same evening!

Took our family of five including 3 teens on this charter. They did not disappoint! The guys were knowledgeable, friendly and so helpful. When we were not catching as much as they hoped, they moved spots. I know catching isn’t guaranteed but this was so fun and we caught plenty!! They even gave us ideas and tips for fish preparation! We would highly recommend them and would book again!

We went out for a 4hr shark fishing trip with Captain Joey. Unfortunately, the bite just wasn’t great. We got one small sharp nose to bite and almost got it to the boat. But he did his best to put us in positions for success. During our shark fishing trip he also gave us opportunities to catch lady fish, Mackeral, and others. Great captain, just bad luck!

Captain J. got us to all the right spots and made sure we were rigged up to get the job done. Mostly a rookie crew but still caught at least 40 fish 20 of which were legal to keep. Got a table at Friendly Fisherman and enjoyed a wonderful meal within an hour after our 4 hour excursion. Highly recommend Sea Dawgs private Charter.

Captain Anthony and First Mate Mike were wonderful guides for our first time fishing the Gulf of Mexico. They put us on fish immediately and kept our lines active all day. We had great success with catching nice keepers of red grouper and hog fish. Anthony filleted the fish and suggested a local restaurant that cooked our fresh catch for us. We had an enjoyable time with a couple of great guys that are committed to providing a wonderful fishing experience for their customers.

I say misc because I don’t recall all the names of the snappers and groupers. Lots of fish, mostly small, after hitting reefs in 60 feet or so. One hogfish. Jigged with 2 ounce weights and cut shrimp. Capt Bob filleted all and suggested a restaurant that would cook them up. It did make for a good meal.
