Two fantastic examples of Giant Sequoia (Sequoiadendron gigantum). The death on the left tree from botryosphaeria-dieback can most likely be corrected by providing water to the tree. The roots at the surface are delicate and most likely the urban environment and compacted soil have contributed to this. If Zürich would like to save this magnificent tree, then please water it as you would a beautiful flower bed.
