Usually, I stick to familiar restaurants, but this time, we decided to try something new. The restaurant wasn't fancy or particularly unique inside, but the food was delicious. It's a family-owned place, and I believe the father was our waiter while the mother was in the kitchen. The food for sure tasted like home cooking. I ordered the vegetable curry with just the right amount of spices. I want to shout out to this small business, especially during this economic downturn. Stay up - I forget to take photos.
Enjoy

We came on a Wednesday afternoon and it was empty and we took advantage of the lunch special to get the bbq chicken and beef sage, both coming with fried rice. The service was good, our server was polite and offered everything we needed. We even got little salads, which I don't think came with the lunch deal. Very simple, but it's the thought that counts. The interior is not the most modern, but it's not run-down or dirty, just a bit old. They even have the fish tank, a sign of authenticity.
The sate was very good. Outside was charred with a bit of crisp while the inside was juicy and it was all flavorful. The accompanying fried rice had ketchup mixed in, which is why it's red? I like ketchup rice , but it was just unexpected.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Xavi R.Los Angeles, CA660Jul 31, 2023

Beware when ordering online...I ordered sate and they have two different names for the same thing. Theres Sate and Sate(no rice) which are the same thing. I made the mistake of thinking the sate had rice since the other says no rice....when I got home I was surprised to see they didnt have rice. If you want rice order sate dinner. The peanut sauce was watered down too.

Went there for dinner afterwork before heading home to avoid traffic. Service was friendly and portion was worth the price and it was tasty. The ambience was a bit noisy and it can use little upgrade.

Delicious as always. Got the hot and sour fish soup, tofu salad and shrimp fried rice. Their peanut dressing is the best I've ever had. I've been coming here for years..still Delicious as ever

I normally order from the location in Thai Town on Hollywood. The food rocks there.
But today I had an errand in K-town and thought oh I'll pick up food here since It's closer. Bad idea. My peanut sauce was watered down. The cucumber salad was old. The chicken satay tasted like the chicken was old. And the shrimp fried rice smelled like old fish and the 2 sad shrimps looked old too. They also forgot my chili sauce. I other words: their food sucks. And the restaurant is dirty. Smells like pee and garbage outside. Do not eat at the k-town location.
Better to make that drive to Thai town.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
