Charles Bronson, born Michael Peterson in 1952, led a turbulent life marked by early criminality and prison sentences. Adopting the name Charles Bronson, he gained notoriety for violence in prison, engaging in hostage situations and assaults.

Despite his criminal record, he pursued artistic endeavors, creating drawings and paintings. Bronson wrote books, including his autobiography "Solitary Fitness," and faced ongoing legal battles over his incarceration, sparking public debate about his treatment and confinement.

Charles Bronson is renowned for popularizing prison workouts, demonstrating resilience and strength despite limited resources. Confined in prison without access to modern gym equipment, he embraced bodyweight exercises, with pushups and situps.

His commitment to these brutal workouts not only showcased his dedication to physical fitness but also yielded significant strength gains, highlighting his formidable determination within the constraints of his environment.

Charles’s intense workout routine gave him the strength to lift a full-size snooker table and set several fitness records in prison. Some included bending a steel cell door with his bare hands, doing 172 pushups in 60 seconds, and once performing 1727 pushups in an hour. This is why I call him the real life bane because of his extraordinary strength despite being in a confinement.

Charles Bronson’s workout routine mainly involved using his own body weight for exercises like pushups, situps, and free squats, performing thousands of repetitions to build strength. Some sources suggest that Charles Bronson had the ability to bench press 300 lbs for 10 strict reps, at the bodyweight of 220 lbs.

Thanks to his extraordinary strength, Charles became famous, and his workout routine inspired a new approach known as 'prison workouts.'

These workouts focus on bodyweight exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, chin-ups, parallel bar dips, squats, and burpees, performed for high repetitions. This not only builds muscle but also delivers substantial strength gains.

What’s even more interesting is that the book Solitary Fitness shares many of his stories, diets, overall health including internal body system health and sexual health for men. He even inspires a lot of people including combat athletes like Paul Smith Jnr, other martial artist and even normies who are just trying to improve themselves and their health.
