The Ngara, or Flametail peacock is an extraordinarily colored fish for the  African cichlid aquarium, with vivid orange speckling against a beautiful sparkling dark blue body.

They are apart of the peacock cichlid family, the Aulonocara, which consist of countless very colorful, medium - large fish from Lake Malawi in Africa. This family of cichlids do better in a group or community setting with fishes of similar species and sizes, since they tend to be on the aggressive side.
