I couldn't see the pictures scratch, so reposted them in case others had the same problem. They look like fun little fish. Are these the ones from the last group buy?

Arnatipinnis kigomas. They are really maturing now. There seems to be at least 2 lrg. males and the rest either all Female or a mix. No spawning yet. Still a lot of chasing going on. They are excavating a lot more now. They are trully beautiful! They each have their own"home" Shell. They still have a single Multie fry living with them. I will probably move him before too long. He thinks he is one of them now. ENJOY!!! I have 2 other types of "Shellies". I love them all. sunny

Love them too!

I wish I had the kind of luck you're having with my shellies (brevis).

I like them! I might have to add them to my ever-growing Tang collection, lol.

They are great fun to watch. And they are getting prettier every day. They're not very big, but I believe they will be bigger then my Multies. Longer and leaner. We shall see.

Thanks for the reply Mike. Been out of touch for a little while. I have about twelve babies I am raising besides the parents. Several batches disappeared when they first started spawning, so I managed to save out a few from three batches (four). So I have about twelve. They seem to be growing pretty fast and have already colored rather well. I would be interested to know if yours make better parents than mine. They start out fine , but then they slowly disappear. I have seen them actively chasing them when they are getting ready to spawn again. The first were hatched around the 17th of April. They are from 2 different pairs.

Mine have yet to spawn. I had a lot of them and narrowed it down to just a few. I am hoping for fry soon.

When they do spawn, they hatch quite quickly and if they are on neutral sand or almost any color sand they are almost impossible to see. They are out of the shells from the first day. which is probably a real detriment to there survival. Any way good luck to you.
