Feng Shui : My bagua

Today was a feng shui day. Though I didn't think about it until now.

Cleaning and decluttering is considered good feng shui. Perhaps it can even be considered basic feng shui practice. It is believed when one's surroundings are clean and tidy chi (energy) flows better.

Makes sense right?

So today I was Arly the cleaning lady. I don't actually mind cleaning my house because the pay off of it being dust & hair free, and tidy at the end of the day is huge.

I really feel the difference. It's like I can breathe deeper and easier. I'm calmer and more relaxed. The hours cleaning is really worth it.

After all that I decided to work on the floor plan and make my idea of "The Mother of all Baguas" complete with everytjing I have ever wanted to see on a bagua map.

For the past few years I would go on Pinterest to find baguas to refer to. Unfortunately there is no one bagua that has all the information I want, so it was always a matter of constantly flipping back and forth between pins.

So this is definitely a long time coming.

Sadly no progress shots. I was in the zone.

But here is where I was at, at the end of the day.

It took a couple of hours and the help of 4-5 different baguas (please see sources) to make that bad boy and on it are details I have always wanted to see on a single map.

Element, Number, Colours, Material, Body, Crystals

This is not finished though, it's not even accurate. Note the corresponding crystals for Fame & Rep and Career & Work. They need to switch.

I also need to add the creative and destructive cycles but I need to get my head around it first.

The water destroys fire makes sense.

I decided to give myself more room for possible additions. It occurred to me that I might want to add design ideas on the map like decor ideas or maybe even a small "notes" section for each bagua point.

I like how I can see my floor plan and the bagua details at the same time in this new map.
