Less than a month after ABC reversed its decision to renew Stumptown for a second season, star Michael Ealy is already planning his return to the network via the medical drama pilot Triage, our sister site Deadline reports.
Triage follows a pioneering surgeon named Finley Briar (Midnight, Texas‘ Parisa Fitz-Henley) across three decades working in the same hospital. “With the evolution of medicine as the backdrop, the show explores the interconnected careers, friendships and romances of Finley and her colleagues, and their tenuous relationship with time,” per ABC‘s official description.
Ealy will star as neurosurgeon Nathaniel Price, “one of Finley Briar’s closest friends and colleagues with a profound personal connection.”

It would be nice to see a show with Michael Ealy that lasts more than one season.
Sleeper Cell. Two seasons!
I’m glad he has a new show, love him but loathed Stumptown. Not a fan of Cobie.
Linda Lavin and Bernie Koppel on a sitcom?
What year is this? 1980?
I’ll miss Stumptown.
Same. I still don’t understand why they couldn’t have just left it for mid-season
Agreed. Like, they obviously were able to fill the hole in the schedule, so why not just wait? It gave us some diversity that we don’t normally see on other shows, with her brother and ties to the reservation.
Exactly. Stumptown is a great show.
Michael Ealy is gorgeous and talented, but I do not trust that ABC will let a new show go on longer than one season. If it were another network, maybe I’d check it out.
My sentiments exactly!
I hope someone at ABC is reading this and realizing how much they’ve cut into viewer trust. I can’t blame them for cancelling Emergence, but to have this show renewed and then cancelled…. while also treating their comedies like trash these last few years… I just don’t know if I can invest in anything new there. I’ll probably still watch the comedies I already do, but every single drama I watched has ended (H2GAWM, SHIELD) or been cancelled, and I see little reason to give them another chance until they get someone better in charge over there.
Shawn Mendez documentary. Really? Let’s have more than 5 years in the industry before we “saint” him.
Don’t like it, don’t watch! Simple!
We should still be watching Michael Ealy on Almost Human. Find this man a show a network will believe in!
^^This
Came here to say renew Almost Human instead!
No point in watching ABC shows these days. They always get cancelled too soon, especially if they end the season on a cliffhanger.
I’m sorry, but I don’t find Parisa Fitz-Henley a strong actress. Didn’t care for her acting in Midnight or the Sinner. I will probably skip this one if she is the star.
What! I’m not sure I knew that Stumptown renewal was reversed…TVL did y’all tell us? So many renewals being reversed…they better not touch Evil or Prodigal Son.
I think the program that need to be canceled, are still on the air. And I think it should be time for.them to go,And there are some good ones they cancel. I’m to the point. where don’t watch regular TV.When. I go back to l look for my prog
ram its gone..
I don’t like Chuck Lorre shows, but man, that “B Positive” cast keeps getting better & better! I have to check it out.
