A cross between Paris-Roubaix and Tro Bro Leon, the revamped (and more adventurous) 90th edition of Schaal Sels (1.1) around Merksem in Antwerp, Belgium was held over unpaved roads, gravel paths and cobbled streets. Due to the recent rainfall which caused havoc for the race support, the race organisers had to neutralise sections of the race. With the help of a tractor, the stuck cars were ultimately removed (one of them being that of the race jury). Here are a selection of photos from this epic day by Kristof Ramon.
