Where are the directions???
It clearly states to read the directions to avoid injury. However, there weren't directions anywhere in the box. What a waste!

The filter in itself works well but I was initially put off by a distinct chemical smell that came off from the cartridge itself. After about 10 days the smell was mostly diminished.
I went ahead and disassembled the filter as well to find the filtration media well sealed, a bit too well. There was an excess sealing glue that effectively reduced potential filtering media. The cover worked as a splash guard and seemed to be the culprit harboring most of the manufacturing odor.
With the smell being gone, the cartridge DID block the irritant smoke I am frequently around. The filter has a nice light and compact form factor and is still usable. It's cost it is cheapest amongst all other brands for a p100 rated filter. You just have to air it out before using it if you come across the samr smell as I have.

The most striking feature about this filter once you use it is the smell.
There is a very chemical smell that is either volatilizing out of the plastic or filter that went into manufacturing. Once you put it on you get a good smell of it, you may get used to it but that REALLY defeats the point of using a p100 filter.
I tested it nonetheless and it seems to filter keep my sinuses from inflamming to a known irritant. But I dont think i'd want to keep inhaling whatever is coming off the filter itself.
Perhaps the smell will go away and become usable. However, this shouldn't have been like this in the first place.
