The jug holds the cold and heat as it says on the web, the handle is very sturdy, and the shape makes it kind of easy to secure in bags or box, easy to put food in, and do not over tighten the seal when closing one quarter turn, the heat will.draw it in.

Love this, its got a retro water bottle feel to me. Holds a lot of water and keeps it nice and cold. It has a very wide handle that's padded so its easy to hold, but I'm not sure I want to lug a 1/2 gallon of water on a standard walk for just myself, this would be great for camping or having to refill water bottles on a long excursion. It is very easy to clean and the pricepoint is excellent.

I haven't taken it out on the road yet but I did test it by half filling it with cold water, adding a few ice cubes (not filling it with ice...just a few) and, once they had melted, adding a couple more cubes before putting on the lid and leaving it on the bench overnight. Next morning the few ice cubes I had added still hadn't fully melted and there was no sign of condensation on the outside. So, the insulation works great.

It has a large wide neck (with the lid unscrewed) for filling quickly and a good sized opening for pouring. The carry handle is comfortable. All-in-all a great product.
