    Yi Xiang,

From the looks of the picture, it is still a young apisto. It has potential to grow even more stunning.

I believe it is money well spend compare to cheap apisto which some of the local goes for. People always want cheap and good which is impossible.

You are picking up into this hobby and may you enjoy the development of your apisto.

PS: Kudos to Biotope to bring in such quality apisto. I am still waiting for your next shipment in your new shop. Got new shipment mustn't forget me

Good Choice Yi Xiang. One of the most interesting apistogramma. You gotten a red tail variant. There is another blue tail variant but seldom see in the market becasue not attractive. They are in the same complex as Apistogramma Trifisciata if i not wrong. I love the red gills marking on the Mamore.

Joop, think the word to use instead of "genus" is "complex". Genus is that they are Apistogramma.

For Apistogramma, some of the scientists group the difference species them into complex or groups, where they shared commonality in finnage shape or body shape, etc.

And I believe they are still debating over whether A.sp "Rio Mamore" is under the trifasciata-complex. But from the looks for the faint three line even in genes' picture, they do seemed to belong to that complex.

sorry Vinc. Gotten them mixed up.
They are also known as Apistogramma Maciliensis.
It was their trade name when it was brought in by Biotope previous owner, Charles.

This was just a single pair. Yixiang was lucky that some gurus in here informed him of this impressive pair. There isn't any major shipment
