Dinkel or Spelt grain as it is more commonly known by, comes in simple
packaging and will retain the vital nutrients when stored well. Many people who are intolerant to
wheat can eat Spelt as its gluten (protein) molecule has a different
composition.

Non-stocked quantities: 15 kg, 20 kg, 25 kg will arrive within 14 days to then collect or deliver onto you.
Spelt has a tangy, nutty flavour, and is easily digestible as it's more soluble in water than regular grains. It can be used for bread but also for the full range of baking (cakes and biscuits, scones, pizza bases...) in exactly the same way as ordinary wheat flour though the bread dough may take longer to rise.
Dinkel (triticum spelta) has been grown on the Milmore Downs farm for some 25 years,
in fact Milmore Downs pioneered this crop and its demanding processing
requirements.
Milmore Downs is a certified Demeter and BioGro farm that specialises in
growing, harvesting and processing several varieties of quality organic
grain. Many of the grains have been preserved and developed on the farm over the past 30 years where the soil fertility is maintained through biodynamic preparations also produced on the farm.
Please note: We cannot courier 25kg bags as they weigh slightly
over 25kg which is our courier limit. These can either be collected from
our store, or collated with a larger pallet order going out by
transport freight.
