Tadasana gomukhasana is a combination of traditional mountain pose with the arm variation known as open cow face. In combination, both poses offer a stimulating and moderately challenging pose that requires shoulder flexibility and balance. The name is derived from the Sanskrit, tada, meaning “mountain”; asana, meaning “pose”; and gomukha, which means “cow face.”

Tadasana gomukhasana is also known in English as standing cow face pose.
