Summer Radish Zürcher Markt [Raphanus sativus]

The radish 'Zürcher Markt' is an old annual pre-summer and summer radish root vegetable variety that has been grown as a vegetable and medicinal plant in Switzerland since the Middle Ages. The plants have a rosette-like growth form with green upright pinnate and bristly hairy leaves. General
Due to the simple and uncomplicated germination, no-till seeds in rows are recommended. Sow the seeds no deeper than 1 cm so that the root can develop. The sowing can be done tightly, by later singling the small and densely growing young radishes can be harvested early in order to give others the space they need to grow.
