I'v seen so many different names used for this jackson chameleon on the internet what exacly is the proper name? Also what is the color range for these guys? If you have pics please post!
The correct scientific name is Trioceros jacksonii jacksonii. There is no such thing as Trioceros jacksonii "willegensis". It is a made up name intended to sound like an actual scientific name (a nomen nudum: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nomen_nudum), but it is not a true subspecies. This fake name is a tribute to a smuggler who used to illegally bring T. j. jacksonii from a particular locality into the EU. I really wish it was something people would stop using...
