Attractive to pollinatorsPerfect for cutting
These highly coloured, deep orange (sometimes yellow-red) thistle-like flowers are very eye-catching. Used as an inexpensive substitute for saffron as a colouring agent. 3ft (90cm)

This striking flower will not escape attention in the garden. The flowers, thistle-like in appearance are great for cutting either fresh (they last very well in water) or dried. They will succeed in poor and dry soils and require little attention.

Easy to grow and quite spectacular. They almost dry themselves on the plant and keep their colour well. Will definitely grow again.
