These are great plants and a talking point for visitors. They are fairly easy to germinate and are good in pots of normal potting compost. The size they grow depends on the pot size. One plant in a small pot is ideal for an outdoor table. Several in a large pot will grow into a 30cm dense canopy. They will tell you when they need watering as they will droop. Highly recommended

Germination Instructions
Sow indoors. Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed compost. Just cover with a sprinkling of soil as light is needed for germination. Ideal temp. 18-20°C. Germination takes 10-15 days approx. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots. Acclimatise and plant out when danger of frost has passed with 60cm spacing.
Growing Instructions
Prefers a well-drained soil in a sheltered site in full sun or partial shade. Shade from hot sun. Can be grown in a pot under glass or as a house plant. Requires a minimum temp. 2°C. For improved success treat as an annual.
Cultivation Instructions
Prune immediately after flowering where flowering is on the previous years growth, or in the subsequent early-mid spring if flowering is on the current years growth. Remove shoots that have flowered to within 2cm of the previous years growth.
