French title
Introduced after the Second World War, the Peugeot 203 was intended to be the direct competitor of the Renault 4CV in the race to reindustrialize France. Often hampered by shortages of raw materials, the production of this model will experience some difficulties but will still end up with a total of 699,500 units produced, all models included. If the basic idea is to propose a popular, economic and simple car, many versions more and more sophisticated were born as the convertible or the coupe.
Today the 203 is a symbol of the French car, an image of happy days regained and of a population that waited a long time before being able to take the roads of our liberated country.
Manufactured in 1952, our model is in the category of the first series of the small popular car. Recognizable thanks to its small rear window and its deployable arrows as turn signals, it was correctly kept until its purchase by the current owner in 1990 for his 18th birthday. At first, he used it daily, then less frequently.
If the car is in a correct aesthetic state, some small works are to be planned in order to take the road serenely in particular: Change of the alternator, of the wiper motor, repair of the corroded underbody.
Rare first series, do not miss the opportunity to acquire this peace symbol."
