Although the majority of us already know that body shaming just ain't it, it seems as though not everyone got the memo, with plenty of trolls still taking to social media to share unsolicited comments on people's appearances. When will they learn, eh?

Thankfully, more and more celebrities are taking a stand against such behaviour, with the likes of Ariana Grande leading the way. Posting on social media earlier this week, the singer shared an emotional – and incredibly rare – comment on the impact that body shaming has had on her, and now Bella Hadid has waded in on the conversation as well.

"You never know what someone is dealing with mentally or physically," the model wrote on Instagram alongside a clip of Ariana's viral video. "You just don’t, and you will never know until you walk in a day in their shoes."

Bella went on: "Instead of unsolicited advice or opinions, judgement or aggression, just try to offer a helping hand and be kind. There is always a reason for the way people look/feel, so try to be soft, especially when you don’t know someone or what they’ve been through."

Echoing what many body confidence campaigners have said for what feels like years, Bella added: "Instagram is not real and we need to look deeper and consciously remind ourselves that each of us are just human beings trying our best."

The model ended her post by encouraging fans to "remove" themselves from "mean" conversations that are seemingly posted just to "get some likes".

"It’s so much cooler to be kind," she said, before sharing some words of praise for Ariana. "Love you Ari. This is so important, I am very proud of you. It will help so many people. Thank you."

We couldn't have said it better ourselves!
