Calceolaria integrifolia> is a bushy evergreen shrub that is often grown as an annual. Masses of showy yellow flowers from late spring through summer make it a popular choice in cottage garden borders.
The mid green leaves are highly veined with a crinkly texture and finely toothed margin.
Above the leaves, clusters of showy yellow flowers bloom from late spring through summer.
The flowers are an unusual shape, they have a puffy lower lip rather like an old fashion ladies purse in shape.
They can reach a height of 1.8m so should be planted towards the middle to back of your garden border in a location offering some shade. Although they will tolerate warmer conditions they prefer cooler climates and are marginally frost hardy.
