UCI ProTeam
Founded in 2005 as a club team, this Spanish team has grown from a small outfit to a stalwart of the European Continental circuit and regular invitees at the Vuelta a España. Though not a team that takes many big wins - they’ve taken fewer than 25 UCI victories in the last decade - they’ve had several big Spanish names pass through their ranks, including José Herrada, Carlos Verona and Ángel Madrazo, who took the team’s only WorldTour win at the Vuelta in 2019. In 2017 and 2018, the team did make headlines but for all the wrong reasons, facing several positive tests and doping bans within the team and eventually voluntarily suspending themselves for the opening months of 2019. The team’s trajectory has looked up since their return, though, marked most notably by Madrazo’s Vuelta stage win.
Going into 2023, the team signed eight new riders, including two young Spanish hopes - Alejandro Franco and Rodrigo Alvarez - and Frenchman Cyril Barthe. They also have breakaway specialists Jetse Bol and Felipe Orts on their roster, as well as another year for Ángel Madrazo.
