UCI ProTeam
Founded in 2005 as a club team, this Spanish team have grown from a small outfit to a stalwart of the European Continental circuit and a regular invitee at the Vuelta a España.
Though not a team that takes many big wins - they’ve taken just 25 UCI victories in the last decade - they’ve had several big Spanish names pass through their ranks, including José Herrada, Carlos Verona and Ángel Madrazo, who took the team’s only WorldTour win at the Vuelta in 2019.
In 2017 and 2018, the team did make headlines but for all the wrong reasons, facing several positive tests and doping bans within the team and eventually voluntarily suspending themselves for the opening months of 2019. The team’s trajectory has looked up since their return, though, marked most notably by Madrazo’s Vuelta stage win.
The 2023 season proved to be the team's best in over a decade with seven wins, including a stage at the Tour of Türkiye with Victor Langellotti.
For 2024, Burgos-BH have added the New Zealand duo of George Jackson and Points Race World Champion Aaron Gate from Bolton Equities Black Spoke. However, talented youngster Pelayo Sánchez has signed for Movistar whilst Cyril Barthe has moved to Groupama-FDJ.
