Bronchocela jubata - Maned Forest Lizard This is the female of the species. A rather less impressive display of aggression, but none the less, a beautiful creature.<br /> <br /> Location is Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Also to show the differences between the sexes.<br /> <br /> This particular specimen is a male, identified by its throat pouch and dorsal display. Obviously I have been spotted by the lizard, hence the display, normally the mane and throat displays would be relaxed and flattened.<br /> <br /> Location is Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Bronchocela jubata - Maned Forest Lizard Gosh! I don’t know where to start with this one, I have so much to write. I have 65 images, and choosing just three to start off the species on this sight, took me half an hour. "Bronchocela jubata", commonly known as the maned forest lizard, is a species of agamid lizard found mainly in Indonesia on the islands of Singkep, Java, Bali, Sulawesi, Karakelang, Salibabu; Nias Island, Singkap Island, Borneo also in Thailand, Cambodia and Philippines.
