In the wake of the 176-nation World Summit on Plastic Pollution held in Ottawa this week, we opened the doors of our Ottawa recovery facility. We were delighted to welcome the International Council of Beverages Associations, the Canadian Beverage Association, the American Beverage Association and their members for a tour of our plant. The visit, coordinated by our Plant Manager Jake Bennett, was preceded by a panel discussion on Extended Producer Responsibility, in which Hugo D'Amours, our Vice-President of Communications, Public Affairs and Sustainable Development, took part. The world of recovery and recycling is undergoing a major transformation in both Canada and the United States, and for the better. The players in the value chain are uniting and collaborating more than ever to make this transition a success. This visit was a fine example of this.

Dans la foulée du Sommet mondial sur la pollution plastique qui réunissait 176 pays et qui s'est tenu à Ottawa cette semaine, nous avons ouvert les portes de notre centre de tri d'Ottawa. Nous avons eu le plaisir d'accueillir l'International Council of Beverages Associations, la Canadian Beverage Association, l'American Beverage Association et leurs membres pour une visite de notre usine. La visite, coordonnée par notre directeur d’usine Jake Bennett, était précédée d'un panel de discussions et d'échanges sur la Responsabilité élargie des producteurs auquel Hugo D'Amours, notre vice-président communications, affaires publiques et développement durable a notamment pris part. Le monde de la récupération et du recyclage est en grande transformation autant au Canada qu'aux États-Unis, pour le mieux. Les acteurs de la chaîne de valeur s'unissent et collaborent plus que jamais pour que cette transition soit réussie. Cette visite en était un bel exemple.
