Features

The X6 (which should not be confused with the HMD Global Nokia X6 released in 2018) was a Symbian-powered device that was the first Nokia phone to use a capacitive touch screen. It had 32GB of storage, Wi-Fi and a five-megapixel camera. It also featured a number of improvements to the user interface of the Nokia 5800, including a contacts bar that could integrate up to 20 contacts (compared with five on the 5800). Its most significant attribute was its styling. This was a substantial advance on Nokia's existing touch-screen devices. Measuring just 13.8mm thick, it was significantly thinner than the 5800 and featured "retro" styling with sharp angles at either end of the device. The X6 was sold exclusively with Nokia’s Comes With Music service. This decision was considered to have been an effort to drive demand for Nokia's unlimited music download service, and its price of €450 before tax and subsidy included the Comes With Music subscription. To highlight the value of the bundle, Nokia’s Anssi Vanjoki noted at the time that the top 100 albums on iTunes would cost €934, more than double the cost of the X6 with a Comes With Music subscription.
