Calcium carbonate (CaCO3) is one of the most spread inorganic salts. It is widely used as an additive and as a filler in many industries such as textile, rubber, plastic, paint, sealant, cosmetic, drug, foodstuff and many other products. It is also used to produce lime after calcination, such as quick lime (CaO) and slaked lime Ca(OH)2.
