Sheriff Frank McKeithen’s latest, and possibly greatest, triumph includes 16 people arrested and $250,000 worth of crystal meth off the streets of Bay County.

“We have almost six pounds of ‘ice’ that they obtained in a couple of different places. This is the largest ‘ice’ arrest that we’ve made. One of the largest I’ve seen in our area,” Bay County Sheriff Frank McKeithen.

It all began in December with the Criminal Investigations Unit working a large number of burglaries in the Callaway, Cedar Grove and Parker areas.

Their investigation lead them to the home of Randall Hill, 23.

“There we did a search warrant, we recovered just tens of thousands of dollars worth of property there. What we learned during the investigation was Hill was taking in the stolen property in exchange for crystal meth,” said Capt. Jimmy Stanford.

Now, two months later, the Sheriff’s Office is experiencing deja vu.

“Yesterday we caught a couple of burglars on the beach, and while we were investigating that burglary, we found that it was kind of the same thing. These people were stealing the property to support their crystal meth habit and just going through the information we had, we learned that the same players were involved,” said Capt. Stanford.

The investigators said in this Panama City Beach case, four individuals were trading their stolen goods with Marc Mills.

The man they believe ties them all together as the main meth distributor is Joshuwa Robinson, 32.

“Fortunately I think we’ve gone straight to the head of the snake here and hopefully that will put an end to some of this madness,” Capt. Faith Bell.

“This is very significant for us and for Bay County and we certainly hope it puts a dent in it,” said Sheriff McKeithen.

Sheriff McKeithen said he doesn’t believe the meth is being made here in Bay County. Robinson and his fellow distributors have multiple arrests in Albany Georgia. McKeithen said recently they have been dealing with what they are calling “Albany Boys” who bring meth down from that area.
