Nothing but class from Bruni, pointing first to the Jared sticker on his bike not himself and waiting until Amaury was back on the bike and down before celebrating. Serious class!

Such a gentleman and merit to the sport, was gonna call my kid Loic... until I found out she was going to be a girl lol

 @ctd07: So she's a Rachel then?

My thoughts exactly, Bruni had put me off in the past with some of his antics, but today he made me a true fan. Go Super Bruni!

The story isn’t Bruni, it’s Maes just 0.2 behind!

Actually I think the story is bruni sorry. Oh and Rachel.

@Trailstunter: And 3rd. Not to mention that Kade was on 27.5 as well.

Bruni sure knows how to win at.the world championships.

Seems like more of a one (big) race specialist vs a world cup specialist. But.he is still young and will continue to develop for sure.

@Trailstunter: pick a wheel size and...

Maes is still a beast. I could see so much frustration on the sidelines as top riders came down in 9th-21st place, because of the Enduro elite rider.
  • 26 1
Maes was in the hospital early in the day too, with flu-like symptoms. No excuses from him, though, and he did go full gas.
  • 35 2
Of course Maes did a top run. Maes is a DH racer that have focused on enduro. big Kudos to him and all podium racer. Can we say that the enduro track and involvement is now far more complicated than DH ????
If the UCI change a bit more the track ( no bikepark, open field) it will change the done for sure.
  • 10 5
@leviatanouroboro: true, they all try to find excuses for him beating the big league guys, like wheather, or Claudio today with it seems more slippery ...

Now the marketing departments are at code red about 29'ers too ????????????

@farmergilles: maes is a downhill racer? Wtf! BMX and 4cross you mean ...

@Trailstunter: maybe in the dh realm they are.... Not in the enduro bro realm that's for sure!
  • 5 0
@farmergilles: an is boring that always 70% of the broadcast is in no so much atractive highways... circuits should be way more technichal and raw on the final part cause the technichal bits always use to be on the first half of circuit and we usually miss it cause the broadcast design...

@leviatanouroboro: You mean a guy who won 2 jr UCI World Cup Downhills and was 2nd at Jr World Champs DH. Good lord, it's as if people think this guy just bought a DH bike yesterday.
  • 19 9
@leviatanouroboro: thank goodness for Bruni; it would have been a bit awkward for the future of DH if a part timer from another discipline would have won the World Champ crown.. yikes
  • 26 1
I don’t understand the surprise, or hostility or why this supposed to be a big deal. There are plenty enduro sections are like DH tracks and Maes is a great rider that runs DH races occasionally. It’s not like nino decided to race.
  • 5 0
@onemind123: give the guy a break, he started out the season with a dislocated elbow...
  • 21 2
@Trailstunter: the switchbacks section after the road gap meant doom for the wagon wheelers. Every single rider on a 29er lost at least a second there.
  • 3 1
@southoftheborder: Maybe but did they gain in other sections?
  • 8 1
 @jeremiahwas: Obviously not enough.
  • 3 1
@rippersub: Apparently. Still like my 29er! Of course I was content with 26 so...
  • 13 3
@Samokeefe: Acutally it would have been really fun. Maes kicking the ass of all those DH guys calling Enduro not a real sport
  • 8 2
The story for me is the possible return of SAM HILL! You f*cking Legend!
  • 24 2
Maes just proved all the haters wrong who said his DH win was only because of the weather and rain for the favorites. Bruni deserved the win. Hell of a run.
  • 4 0
 @Christopop: kade was on 29
  • 11 0
@whambat: this time it was apparently too dry and slippery, poor Maes can't get any credit it seems.
  • 8 0
Bruni apparently doesn’t think Bruni is the story either since he pointed to his Jared Graves sticker.
  • 2 0
@thisspock: yeah but he doesnt/hasnt been training for dh races all year like literally everyone else in the start hut
  • 3 0
maes is a beast. Id like to see him do a full season next year.
  • 12 11
@southoftheborder: So 29-ers are not so good and allround after all Wink
All the hype of easy turning, new geometry, poppy...
Now we get to the point of having 650b and 29-er tracks? Whaha...
No... 29 is just not as good as they all say they are... in DH and Enduro, they don't outrun and even lose a lot of times against 650b's...
  • 4 0
Let's not forget the comment from two days ago where the guy said that since Maes starts so early we're going to be watching red split times all day long when he's sitting on the podium the whole time.
  • 7 2
@SeanC1: In EWS they get that start hut pressure of a real race about 50 times a year vs seven times for DH. They are also so getting fitter than dh racers, and better at riding in changeable conditions. Basically Sam Hill has pushed everyone to raise their game... to a level above world cup dh. Maes will be in dh next year. All about the Benjamins.
  • 3 4
Dooood. Neko talking smack about his win last race made me sick. Martin killing it for realzzz!
  • 2 0
@nordicMT: was this on downtime? What did he say?
  • 2 1
@russthedog: yeah on Downtime. I forget his words exactly, but totally downplayed his win, stating track conditions or something. Then back pedaled slightly and said he is a really good rider.
  • 1 1
@Trailstunter: it could surely do for a more diverse bike roster if some tracks would favor smaller wheels -tight turns, heavy stopping followed by explosive sprints to recover speed- while others would suit bigger wheels better -a la motorway some tracks already have.

Although the latter ones would certainly be boring to watch, and I guess stamina and leg power would define who would take the top spot.
  • 4 2
@leviatanouroboro: Yeah he's a beast but the conditions changed dramatically, they all way's do in every race. You could see the riders between Maes and the top 20 getting better times than the top 20 guys and then the top ten guys should have smashed those times, the top 10 guys normal take 2-3 seconds off the top 20 guys times. Maes would have still been on the podium though because he is adaptable and could rise to the occasion.
  • 3 3
@southoftheborder: the whole thing of biking is that you don't build tracks for certain wheelsize for example... And if I may believe the hype... 29 is good anywhere... so ...
Now you tell me that 29 is only good at a motorway? Whahaha... tell that to the marketing crew here on PB!
  • 3 4
@southoftheborder: So a 29 is a disaster in switchbacks? Whahaha... OMG OMG... the big wheelers and the marketing hype are going dowwwnnnnn
  • 11 13
I have been saying multiple time on pinkbike that I learn a costly mistake going to a 29er bike. I race them, jump them and climb them and it's not a good wheel size for fun or racing. Only thing it's good for is going straight on a fire road. I will never go back. I even had a hard tail 29er and that also was a mistake. 29ers need to die. "29ers are dead" sorry Gwin too late and it's not some secret, cause there is no secret. I am surprised the people who review these 29er bikes dont understand this?!?! Please dont buy a 29er you will regret it. 27.5 is the way to go. *over 20 years of riding, race pro against Troy Bronson, 6'2 215 lbs.

@Trailstunter: you didnt look at the run of Loris did you?
  • 2 2
@TobiasHandcock: Nope, I explained this in the comments when he won La Bresse. The top qualifiers all finished strongly in La Bresse. Many of the usual top riders were off the pace both in qualifying and in the race. Many of the riders who started in the last 10 in La Bresse qualified well outside the Top 10 like Brosnan, Vergier, Iles, Greenland, etc.

The new UCI start orders made it seem like the last 10 riders had a deteriorating track but they didnt as proven by the riders who actually qualified well like Pierron, Bruni, MacDonald.

Please UCI, stop with these weird starting lists. It is unfair, particulary for Maes who will suffer from questions about the deteriorating track. 1rst qualifier last to go and thats all.

He definitely had a faster track this week and last. But he also has world class Enduro skills to adapt to the changing track extremely well. So we miss out on seeing his full potential in the same conditions as others of his class, we miss out on seeing him maybe push even harder because he would know the times to beat.
  • 5 1
@TobiasHandcock: I hope they drop it next year - he should be racing on the same track as guys going a similar speed
  • 6 2
The world champs has always been based on ranking yet never an issue.
  • 14 0
World Champs has always been on WORLD ranking, not World Cup ranking,or World Champs "qualifying". World ranking includes all races around the world, not just World Cups, hence Blenki starting after Brook even though Brook beat him in the World Cup overall.

It's been this way since forever. (Well, since John Tomac sat on the side of the track during qualifying to get a better start time due to weather)
  • 3 0
World champs has never been fastest qualifier to go last, it's always been on world ranking points accrued through the year.
  • 5 3

I was really hopeing to see someone other than Atherton win the women’s just to see someone different win, but that run was something else. Totally well deserved. Pretty much had the throttle screwed to the stop the whole way. Well done.

I remember being in this boat before Rachel got injured in previous years. But as she's worked her way back up and I got the chance to meet her, and seeing her lose with grace and still be so happy for other competitors... I can't say I want anyone else to be top dog. She's pure class, a lovely soul and an icon for women's athletics and extreme sports. I'm all aboard the Rachel train. She puts in the work, has fun on her bike, and does so much to reach out and bring more women into this sport.
  • 2 0
Give it time. Holl was 3:39. She would be in the top 10 in the pro category.

  • 52 76
flag jeffakalucas (Sep 9, 2018 at 5:25) (Below Threshold)
It's kinda strange to watch how Rachel and Tahnee handle loosing. When Rachel gets second shes pumped to have done so and congratulates the winner on a job well done. Tahnee looks like a poor loser. She'll probably talk siht on Rachel on instagram. I mean.. loosing by .061 is one thing, loosing by almost 10 seconds, you have to throw your hands up and say WTF!!!! However, maybe that comes with having won so many World Cup overalls and World Championships vs. fighting for your first one.
  • 42 1
@jeffakalucas: I think Tahnee's reaction is understandable. She was so close to Rachel in the last race and in the qualies despite a crash, probably thinking she could win this race. And then Rachel comes down the mountain and totally smashes the time and Tahnee's hopes by 10 seconds, that's not too easy to handle
  • 24 3
@bashhard: I agree. I don't think Thanee's reaction is unreasonable. Her and Rachel clearly handle it much differently though.

I feel like Rachel sandbagged her qualifying run, played the long game, gave Thanee a bit of hope!
  • 74 3
@jeffakalucas: That's a major attack on Tahnee's character based on her hating to lose. Completely unfair. You can hate to lose without it having anything personal to do with the person who wins.
  • 14 0
@jeffakalucas: you have to remember Rachel has been around for far longer than Tahnee as well, and has won anything and everything. Tahnee is still learning, not just about the riding but everything that goes with being a pro at the top end. I would look that mad if I had laid everything down but got thrashed by 10 seconds.

Yeah, you have no clue what you're talking about. Not everyone is an immature 15-year-old....
  • 3 0
Rachel contributes a lot to up and coming UK female DH racers. Doesn't she even sponsor that part of the UK series? So of course she is happy to win. But she's rooting for other female UK racers too. So if they do well, she loves that as well.

Now of course we've come used to having camera's stuck up everyones nose. But that doesn't mean we need to judge what we get to see that way. If there were one thing unprofessional or even unreasonable, it would be to judge when you really don't need to.
  • 18 1
@jeffakalucas: you need to Google Serena Williams to see what a sore loser looks like. Tahnee didn't do anything other than show disappointment from what I saw.
  • 3 4
@humoroususername: I don't disagree Serena Williams' outburst is about the definition of sore loser.

My point about how they handle (read: show) it remains. It's very much different.
People tore me apart about the sore loser comment and if you compare Tahnee to a Serena Williams, I would agree. However, my comments were more about how they show/hid their excitement and/or disappointment.

I did ready a post from Tahnee after a loss a few weeks ago that was a shot at Rachael on Instagram. It was in the comments section so I'm not completely off my rocker.

Additionally, the props count on my upper post has fluctuated pretty good today (while still in the negative) means means I'm not completely alone in my thoughts!

I live or die by my internet points!

Great racing from everyone today! Makes me sad the season is over and I am actually happy to see new faces in the mix and changing things up!
  • 4 1
@jeffakalucas: You pay attention to props? Jesus christ that's almost as pathetic as assuming Tahnee is going to make an instagram rant about Rachel winning.
  • 6 6
@scott-townes: nah tany is a sore loser and isn't good in front of the camera. She can't help but be self centered and blame everyone else and everything else if she doesn't win. Rachel tries hard and puts everything into it but is a more graceful loser and always positive. Part of the reason you never see Rachel bent over her car for Instagram likes hahhaa
  • 4 6
@makripper: careful, any negative opinion on Tahnee is going to get you downvoted!
  • 1 4
@scott-townes: I know, very pathetic. My life is a bore.
  • 3 2
@makripper: no disrespect to Rachel because she's incredible but sorry i disagree. I was at fort bill this year right at the front with full view of where her team were stood when she lost. She kicked the railings, had an arguement with the team manager and was in a filthy mood. Don't get me wrong i don't blame her. I know what it's like to lose something you want so bad but it isn't right to talk about tahnee like she's a sore loser when they all have emotions and reactions
  • 5 1
@trailmaid: every time I've seen tahnee no win she's sour about it. I throw up in my mouth every time she interviews because she's super arrogant. I've never seen that side of Rachel before haha that's crazy!

26 too, but that was a decission already taken
  • 2 0
Haha! Throwback to 2017 as teams race to develop 29 bikes so they can keep up with the 650B’s in 2018.
  • 17 2
Damn, really wanted Gwin to bring home a World Championship. Seems odd he'd change bikes late in the season and then during every interview state how they haven't had time to test and set it up correctly. Looks like Maes has a real chance if Gwin and Shaw can't reel him in.
  • 6 6
29 is not his thing it seems, 650b wins 1 and 2
  • 17 6
Excuses. Gwin just isn't quick enough.
  • 11 1
@Trailstunter: is someone paying you to only make wheel size comments? Hahaha we get it
  • 2 1
The track suited small wheels better. If you watch the replay, the section right after the road gap slowed the 29ers down by almost a second, every single time.
  • 2 1
@jclnv: well, he doesn't normally make many mistakes and he has been making a few since he got this bike. So maybe he should have stuck with the old one.
  • 4 2
@jclnv: Gwin isn't quick enough? The last 5 years beg to differ. Next year he'll come back strong once fully recovered.
  • 3 0
@humoroususername: Didn't he injure is thumb on the 650b?

I think the level has increased. The frenchies are almost unstoppable. My tip is wait till Vergier gets a bit of self belief. The kid is mega.
  • 3 0
@jclnv: I think that Yt still has some work to do on the 29er version. It seams like they might need to shorten the back end. It looks like Gwin can't keep enough weight on the back wheel and it keeps washing out on him. I really think they should have waited until next season to race on the new bike.
  • 1 0
@BeerGuzlinFool: How long is the rear centre on it?

He lost his front wheel at La Bresse. Think he did the same here too?
  • 3 3
@jclnv: Well it is clear that Gwin is not in sync with his bike... 29 is not the wonder medicine... 650b fits him better...
  • 2 0
@Trailstunter: He does seem to look awkward on it, first in La Bresse, but maybe more so yesterday....the rear wheel to butt clearance looks a problem for gwin...he looks like he will get bucked in practice or racing a few times, maybe he already has. We all know he loves throwing a 29 trail bike around but 140 - 170 travel on a Jeffsy/Capra is different to maybe 190-200 on a 29 Tues.
  • 3 0
@Trailstunter: Yeah he needs more time on the bike but I think the bigger issue is a bunch of Frenchies are quicker than he is now.
  • 2 2
@jclnv: why do you need more time on a bike if the 29-ers are the fastest and easiest to ride compared to 650b?

It is just all marketing BS...
  • 4 0
@jclnv: Ah people never learn do they...Riders like Gwin will always find a way to come back and win. Just like Minnaar did. Gwin is a top athlete, up there with the greatest in any sport and to say he has stopped learning while everyone else has moved on is ridiculous. It doesnt make sense on any level.

People said the same thing about Federer in Tennis years ago, Rossi in MotoGP and even Tiger Woods has had an incredible season after a long barren period and they are all way older than Gwin.

Athletes like that, who have the ability to be completely dominant over their opponents, dont just lie down when they are challenged. Gwin will win many more races.
  • 2 5
@humoroususername: He's not dominant. He's never won a World Championship.

@Trailshunter: They're not easier, they're way more stable. It takes time to learn how to corner them.

That said I don't think they're the absolute correct choice for DH racing like they are for trail bikes. If you've got 200mm of really good suspension like Bruni, 650b is fine.
  • 1 0
@jclnv: Overall World Cup Titles >>>>>>>>>>>>> 1 Race
  • 2 1
@jclnv: nonsense, his winning ratio is far above every other rider in the history of the sport. World Championships is just another race.
  • 1 2
@humoroususername: Nonsense. ACC, Voullioz and Rachel Atherton trounce him in stats.
  • 1 1
@jclnv: acc and Rachel are not competing against men. Their stats are completely irrelevant.

Voullioz has won less downhill mountain bike races and less World Cup overall titles than Gwin. So how does he trounce him in stats? Let me guess, bruni also trounces him in stats?
  • 2 2
@humoroususername: Because there were fewer races.

Nico also won 5 World Cup titles and 7 Elite World Championships. He absolutely shits on Gwin and Gwin shits the bed at EVERY World Champs.

Anyway I'd argue that Minnaar is the best. To be at the top for as long as he has on bikes that only started to fit him in the last 3 years makes him hands down the best to me.
  • 2 0
@jclnv: Easy there with those facts bud! Somebody gonna get hurt...

Gwin is a great rider, very consistent throughout the season. He just chokes at worlds for what ever reason?

Agree about Minaar. Top class for 20yrs.
  • 18 1
What the helllll!!! Rachel was faster than Laurie Greenland quali time... Damn
  • 14 0
Maes is simply damn good on a bike, so it shouldn’t be a surprise he does well in multiple disciplines. He has commented on how he rides his DH bike like he does the enduro bike, and you can see it in the way he rides. I think that may be allowing him to find or create speed where other rides aren’t.
  • 13 0
Loic just destroyed that rock garden!! Class act pointing to his Jared sticker first after seeing he was in the green. Props to Maes also, insane show of skills. Props to Rachel too, showing she still is at the top of her game.
  • 12 0
Santa Cruz 3 of the top 7, impressive! Also congrats to Martin for almost taking it, and to Aaron and Greg for turning in great races coming back from injuries and not racing for awhile. In the same vein as MM and Sam racing in dh every now and then, id love to see Richie Rude do a dh event or two, his pedigree and riding style seems to suit dh as much as it does enduro.
  • 3 0
Until Yeti makes a DH bike we won't see him.

@mxmtb: Watched the DH without issues today, but the XC was horrible! Couldn't get more than 20min before the feed went dead and I had to refresh the page and wait for it to load/sync. I got fed up after the 2nd or 3rd refresh and went out for a ride...

Félicitation Loïc, une vrai machine !

And clearly 29” offers a significant speed avantage over the smaller wheels ...lol can we all agree that’s it’s purely a riders preference thing now ?
  • 8 1
No! I need to tell everyone how 650b is faster and 29ers suck
  • 13 0
Anyone hear the cans of beer being cracked then warner speaking mid sip constantly? Bahahah heroes
  • 13 2
Ok Red Bull/UCI, if you’re going to have qualifying, have the riders come down in qualifying order. This season has killed too much drama and suspense by having riders in the wrong spots.

  • 13 10
Not to mention how terrible Claudio is at commentary.
  • 16 1
@TobiasHandcock: Take you hand off it, mate. Two weeks ago, it's too wet, this week too sunny? Please...DH guys need to get fitter and get off their pretentious asses and stop saying enduro is for people that can't handle DH.
  • 3 6
@handynzl: You take your hand off it, it's got nothing to do with some Enduro vs Dh bullshit. But it's obvious that conditions effect the race and he may or may not have benefited from it, If he did benefit from it then it is unfair on other riders who have a better ranking because they go to every DH race. If he was a full time DH rider he would be in the top 5 no doubt, so he would have had the same conditions and probably a slower time
  • 1 0
@TobiasHandcock: You are actually delusional. Please name the riders in La Bresse that were hampered by the supposedly slowing track? I bet not one of them actually qualified well.
  • 1 0
Also Claudio doesn't help that whenever the splits are a bit off he turns negative and dismisses every rider, leading to a lame broadcast. Got to find a way to be up beat or get the fastest riders last again.
  • 1 1
@kevin267: Claudio is awful. He just comes across as so negative all the time. I don't know why he is still there. Him and Rob don't have any chemistry at all.

It's meant to be geoblocked because Sky has the rights, but as you've found they haven't done a very good job of that
  • 6 1
Actually never mind. Its geo restricted in NZ because our antiquated subscription broadcaster SKYTV still holds the rights, despite losing millions of dollars and thousands of subscribers every year. I bet UCI make sweet fuck all off NZ TV rights for this stuff, what is the point.

  • 1 0
It is, but riders start every 1 or 2 minutes.
  • 4 0
@novas752: Guys outside the top 20 start at 30 second intervals. So.. while it's live, you can't possibly watch full top to bottoms as multiple people are on track at once.

So, you watch a recording of them the start hut and catch up to them live for the finish. Otherwise, 80 riders x 3 minutes would be 8 hours long.

Guys inside the top 20 have longer intervals and get a bit more coverage.

The top 3 or 5 get even more.

  • 2 1
@AntonOP: don’t worry, in a couple of years the industry will come up with something else i.e. 29 front 27.5 rear, the idea is not having the fastest bikes, the idea is to sell more bikes-for that little dh sells
  • 4 1
@RedRedRe: That was already done by foes, specialized, and others. It's UCI illegal.
  • 1 0
@spaceofades: did you miss various "industry" people talking about 29/27.5?  So you're saying that both his quali and race runs in La Bresse and Lenzerheide were a fluke because of track conditions? All the while him racing and winning the EWS on another continent 6 days before La Bresse and having no chain for half the quali run in Lenzerheide had no negative effect at all?
  • 1 3
@handynzl: You think the earth is flat? Conditions change.
  • 1 3
@jzPV: Considering he qualified in the top 10 but not first. It's not a fluke, it's just how it plays out because the track changes. His chain came off yeah, but that doesn't really effect your time, it's not a pedal track.

@TobiasHandcock: Conditions change every race on every track for every rider. They ride on 'natural' courses. What the hell is your point?
  • 1 4
@m1dg3t: That Maes had a very different track to the other riders of his caliber. Which is an advantage what ever way you look at it.
  • 3 0
@TobiasHandcock: Yeah.. the track changes, within an hours, al is completely changed! Al the rest cannot even make something of a time... yeah... it is not the quality of Martin, it is the wheather, the wheelsize, the... name it, but that is it whahhaa.... man you are a joke...
  • 2 0
@TobiasHandcock: Did you also take in account that Maes was in the hospital cause of a big flue in the morning of race day? Wink
  • 2 0
@Trailstunter: Have you heard the saying about arguing with idiots?

"Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience."
  • 1 0
 @m1dg3t: Very true...

Kade is goddamn machine! So stoked to see this kid progressing so well

Hello, the Director of (place any brand) speaking...
Hello mr director, this is the marketing department speaking, we got a mayor issue. World champs has been won by a 650b, and even worse, the 2nd and 3th are those damn 650b's too!...
  • 1 1
Rachel is just giving the women racers a false hope...she then just flashes her dominance to them...Godlike!!
  • 1 0
Nice loic bruni at the top epic keep it up guys
  • 1 0
Dear Red Bull, why did you have to f*ck up the video-player, again?
  • 1 1
Guess twin is going to have to learn the hard way: 29 inch wheels are 2 seconds slower than 27.5.
  • 1 0
 I meant gwin
  • 1 0
I wonder if Bruni will start next season on a 29er...I think he has raced one at least once at a Crankworx event this year. I remember him being very vocal last year against 29ers, so it’s cool to see him winning again on 27.5
  • 1 0
@Honduh2000: I would be very surprised if that were to happen...

Loic's position has always been (too?) radical against 29ers, including on social networks where he got caught trolling & hating quite a bunch of times.

I don't blame him for that, that was actually fun, but given the fact that specialized has always been pushing the wagon wheels, I imagine that at some point they must have asked him to stop talking publicly about wheel formats Big Grin

Anyway I'm sure he's still 100% into 650b

I guess DH can be a part-time gig. Maes is killing it.
  • 1 0
Where’s the video of the downhill races?
  • 1 0
That's 4 Rainbow Jerseys those Demos have won now not bad eh.
  • 1 0
Vali Höll going through the speed trap just as fast as Rachel. Class!
  • 1 0
 Ma mang Bruni!
  • 5 5
is the live a JOKE ???? no rock section filmed ?? roots ??? WTF ???
  • 4 1
Take it easy... they can’t film the entire track for everyone. Certainly woman outside the top 10 get less tv time. Men outside the top 25ishget less too.

As we get closer to the top riders you’ll see more of their runs and better sections.
  • 2 0
Fingers crossed we get to see at least some riders on the top rock garden.
  • 1 0
 @mluk2004: Your wish was granted.
  • 1 3
Wow... how long is this Women shakeup going to last? Rider after rider can't even come close to Charre or others at top... even Battolla is in the top 10.
  • 2 1
No sooner said than E. Siegenthaler unseats Charre by over 3 seconds. Good on ya at your home race!
  • 2 1
Getting into the last handful of women now... now we're cooking with gas! Glad I woke up when I did. Razz
  • 1 1
 Wooooot Tahnee!

Wait, that doesn't fit
Congrats Rachel, absolutely sick riding!

 MARTIN MAES Cool

Enduro is the future of DH, doing all those stages gets you on point.
  • 5 5
This sport has turned into a joke with UCI and Redbull.
  • 3 1
 @TightAF: Don't forget Mercedes.
  • 3 2
@m1dg3t: mtb racing used to be very cool in the 90’s - until it got big enough to attract car sponsors.
The sport turned into a joke mainly because of the bike industry greed, they are the ones pressuring uci to change the start order.
  • 2 0
@RedRedRe: World Champs start order has been this way for years. Get over it.
  • 1 1
@handynzl: I distinctly recall Steve Peat blagging seeding in 2002 at Kaprun so he could come down early. This went on for a few years actually. It hasn’t always been the way it is now, but I agree that it’s not that big of a deal. Either way, super impressed by Maes. Legitimising the pace of EWS riders to a wider audience.
  • 2 0
@RedRedRe: I'm very fond of the Grundig/Shimano era
  • 1 0
@handynzl: I am not talking about the starting order
  • 2 2
 Is gwins bike 29+ compatible?
  • 1 0
 What a race!
  • 2 3
And Red Bull at it with the showing like half the race
  • 1 2
