The Firecracker Tropheus Moorii is a great clean-up crew member for their ability to keep algae growth at bay. Exercise caution when choosing tank mates because Tropheus Moorri cichlids can be territorial and aggressive. Endemic to the African Lake Tangayika, its new home should replicate its natural habitat. Simply add sand or crushed coral substrate and a some rock to seek refuge in and graze algae off. They will do best with higher pH and a little salinity. During meal times, they will feed on various dry foods and frozen meaty foods.
