The most popular cichlids in the Amazonian river are the Oscars and the Longfin Albino Tiger Oscar is no exception. Its bright albino color and exaggerated fins will make this cichlid stand out. Like most cichlids, it's a hardy fish that with proper care will be long lasting. Its temperament is moderately aggressive, so exercise caution when choosing tank mates. If there are small fish in the tank that can fit in the Oscar’s mouth then they may become this cichlid's next meal. The Oscar Cichlid can grow up to 14 inches, so they will need a large enough tank to grow in. In addition, this fish likes to hide, so make sure its new aquarium home has decorations like rocks and rooted plants. Lastly, this fish has a fast metabolism, so feed it often with frozen meaty foods and pellet. Consequently due to this behavior its tank will need to be cleaned more frequently.
