ProDeuce Herbicide is manufactured by Nufarm and is a herbicide concentrate designed to eliminate existing weeds and prevents new growth around pavement cracks and crevices, along fences and foundations and throughout gravel areas. ProDeuce offers 3 to 6 months of residual control meaning you can achieve season-long control of weeds with potentially one application.

Containing two powerful active ingredients--Prodiamine and Glyphosate, ProDeuce is the perfect solution for landscape managers and lawn care operators seeking to eliminate nuisance weeds from weed-prone areas throughout the season. ProDeuce reduces the cost and damage associated with using mechanical forms of weed control and lessens labor time.

Tools Needed

In order to use ProDeuce, we recommend that you use a hand-held pump sprayer or backpack sprayer.

How to Use

Non-selective spraying

  • Step 1: Determine how much ProDeuce you will need by calculating the square footage of the treatment area (measure and multiply area length x width). ProDeuce can be mixed at a rate of 3 - to 6 fl. oz. per gallon which will treat 1,000 square feet.
  • Step 2: In a sprayer of your choice, fill with water halfway and then add in the appropriate measured amount of ProDeuce, then fill the rest of the way with water. Close the top and shake the sprayer well and you will be ready to spray.
  • Step 3: Spray existing weeds AND the entire surrounding weed-prone area you want to keep free of weeds. Spray the area with sufficient volume to assure complete coverage. Use caution to prevent application to green stems and leaves, damage can occur. Do not spray ProDeuce on or near concrete because it will leave a stain.
  • Step 4: We highly recommend that you clean your sprayer after every use. To clean your sprayer after use, rinse the sprayer and all sprayer parts with soap and water 3 times. Spray rinse water on bare soil or gravel. After cleaning, the sprayer may be used for other products.

Where to Use

Apply ProDeuce to both established weeds and weed-prone areas where weeds have not yet emerged such as cracks & crevices in driveways, sidewalks, walkways, patios, along fences, foundations, curbs, retaining walls, edges of lawns, around the base or in mulched beds of well-established (at least 6 months old) plants, shrubs or trees and in gravel areas,

When to Use

You can ProDeuce as a pre-emergent or post-emergent herbicide and can be used prior to the growing season or upon the first sign of problem weeds. Do Not spray around ornamental plants or in an area that will be planted or seeded for 12 months after application when applying at the 5.75 fluid ounces per 1,000 sq ft use rate.

Safety Information

ProDeuce is safe to use when applied according to label direction. Please wear the appropriate PPE (gloves, safety goggles, protective mask, long-sleeved clothing) when mixing and applying ProDeuce. Spray solutions of ProDeuce should be mixed, stored and applied using only stainless steel, aluminum, fiberglass, plastic or plastic-lined steel containers.

Special Considerations

ProDeuce may cause temporary staining on certain hard surfaces such as concrete and brick. Do not apply to areas where staining is unacceptable. Do Not apply more than 6 fluid ounces per 1,000 sq ft. per application.
