Bella Hadid took some much-deserved time off from the spotlight this year, but she's back, baby! Even better, her iconic street style is even more Y2K-inspired than ever, as evidenced by new photos of the model out and about in New York City.

On December 13, Hadid was snapped wearing a khaki trench over a black turtleneck and — gasp! — are those flared yoga pants or bootcut jeans? She paired the throwback pants with equally '00s square-toed black boots and added a pair of her favorite teeny sunglasses. Whereas we often talk about Y2K style as super flashy and colorful, this look actually feels true to what people actually wore in the 2000s.

A few days later, Hadid got cozy in a gray cable knit set from Frankies Bikinis; the tunic top with a delicate shoulder button detail is really sending me back to 2004, especially with the matching flared pants and pointed-toe boots. The model paired her co-ord set with a big black shoulder bag — another 2000s hallmark — and leather jacket.

Off to a strong start, but Hadid's most recent 'fit, from December 18, may be her most Y2K of all. Though we typically think of the late 2010s and early 2020s as the ultimate era of athleisure, Hadid gave workoutwear a throwback spin with low-rise black yoga pants (with the waistband folded over, very important!) and a zip-up jacket with a big stretchy black headband.

This was the cool girl outfit of the era, and Hadid definitely did it justice. (We know she loves a throwback headband.) She even transitioned the outfit from day to night by adding an oversized red jacket and the pièce de résistance, a matching red Von Dutch duffle. Where is she getting all this stuff? Her Depop account must be keeping the USPS busy.

Bella Hadid has long been at the forefront of the 2000s revival, and even though she's been criticized for wearing some of the more polarizing fashions from that era, she doesn't care what others think. "Anyone who doesn't like my style ... It's a good thing it's mine. And not yours!!" she told her critics in 2022. And nobody does personal style like Bella!
