By modelling standards, Edie Campbell is old. At 26 she’s a decade older than some of the other girls who walk the runways at London Fashion Week. By rights, her days of gracing the Vogue cover should be nearly over. Arguably, though, she’s just getting into her stride. This is ironic because what she’d rather be doing than walking for Burberry, or talking to me, is sitting on a horse. She arrives with a broken thumb, which explains why she isn’t.
