NATALIE PORTMAN was officially unveiled as the new face of the Miss Dior Cherie perfume in New York yesterday. The Black Swan film star appeared from behind a transparent screen of roses to be introduced to awaiting press as the new representative of Miss Dior Cherie - one of Dior's most iconic fragrances. Natalie Portman fans can expect to see the Hollywood beauty starring in her new role in a print campaign shot by photographer Tim Walker and a television advert directed by Sophia Coppola, scheduled to appear in March 2011, reports WWD. News of Natalie's signing to Parfums Christian Dior - her first luxury beauty deal - broke in June 2010 (read the full story here), but it was unclear whether she would be representing one of Dior's heritage perfumes, such as Miss Dior Cherie, or a brand new scent. Speaking at the press conference, chief of Parfums Christian Dior Claude Martinez said Natalie was "charismatic and elegant", although Portman herself admitted that she was far from attentive when it comes to her beauty routine: "I'm pretty casual in my beauty routine in my real life," she said, "Some might say sloppy."
