In the final countdown to first looks at the Stella McCartney show, we spotted Edie Campbell seated at a makeup mirror quietly reading **Edmund White’**s The Flâneur and looking remarkably rested and composed. Considering it has been over two weeks and three countries since Campbell opened the Boss show in New York, her bright-eyed appearance called for inquiry. What exactly had she done to avoid the telltale dark circles, sallow skin, and puffy, irritated complexion of exhaustion? Here, Campbell gamely shares her morning beauty routine and fashion month survival tips.

1. DITCH THE MAKEUP
The no-makeup look is definitely my thing. I don’t wear much on a daily basis—just a lip balm, then I curl my eyelashes, and I give myself a face massage if I’m feeling puffy.

2. SCHEDULE IN A BREAK
I’ve learned to never do four whole weeks of shows—the most I’m doing this season is in Paris where I’ll walk in eight.

3. GET CREATIVE ABOUT YOUR WORKOUT
There’s no real time to get to the gym, so I like to walk everywhere.

4. NO SMOKING
Note to self: Don’t start smoking again. I’ve been vape-ing for years.

5. MAKE AN EARLY EXIT
Know when to leave the party, which is about half an hour after you arrive, or else before everyone gets so drunk they start getting aggressive (including myself).

6. MIND THE BUFFET
Try and eat as normally as possible. Don’t binge by eating eight mini-croissants: Just because they are half the size doesn’t mean you can eat twice as many.
