No. They likely never will since it's been over 40 years.

Do they have call ahead seating?

      A:

No not that i know of. Get there when the doors first open and you should get in there pretty quickly. Just make sure your whole party is together before walking up to the hostess or the will make you wait till everyone is together.

My husband and I visited this restaurant while on vacation in the area.

The ambience in the restaurant is very traditionally nautical. It is a quite large restaurant and has so many museum-quality photos and other items on display I really wanted to walk around. There is a separate 'lounge' bar which is very nice as well. The menu is mostly seafood options, but the other items (tomahawk steak) is quite impressive. The wine list is lengthy, and with at least 2 full bars cocktail possibilities are endless.

Our servers name was Michael, and he was excellent. He was very attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. Our food was served quickly. I started with a cup of she-crab soup. Being from SC I'm a bit of a snob for Charleston-style she-crab soup. This was different. It was more the taste and consistency of potato soup with crabmeat. I missed the sherry and hint of tomato and spice if the Charleston variety. Entrees typically are served with a salad and one side. Don't miss the bread basket, and then when our meal came we got a plate of delicious hushpuppies. Best hushpuppies ever. Crunch when you bite, but hit and fluffy inside.

My husband ordered the fried shrimp, and was delighted with it. His baked potato was completely done, which is great! I hate being served with a hard half-baked potato. I ordered the seared sea scallops and they were absolutely delicious. They were cooked to perfection and covered with a light, buttery sauce that did not compete with the scallops. Brussel sprouts were excellent.

We arrived late and so we did not have a lot of time for dinner and we did not have dessert. Maybe will go back and have dessert later!

For the price and quality of the food it is very average. You will get what you pay for, but nothing more...and what you get is very good!
I got the stuffed grouper and it was very very good.
The she - crab soup needs some work, it was very bland with nothing discernible flavor wise.

Came here for my birthday dinner. Beautiful restaurant. We were immediately seated. I didn't partake, but we got the oysters and cheese sticks for appetizers. They provide a basket of bread for the table and it was good. Our waitress was great and attentive. I had the crab stuffed shrimp with a baked potato and it was DELICIOUS. Each meal also came with a salad. I think it was the best meal I've had so far on our trip. I also tried the Honey Bubbles wine and will definitely be buying a bottle when I get home! They did offer a dessert since it was my birthday, but I declined because we had a cake back home.
Will definitely be coming back here on future visits!

This place looks to have a lot of cool history, nice location on the water, and fresh seafood. I started off with the gumbo and it was underwhelming with almost no protein, it was the wrong color and and did not taste that good. Then, I got the seafood platter with the lobster. For the most part this was ok. The scallops were very good. The shrimp was solid. Fish was good, but the lobster was certainly overcooked. It was rubbery and chewy, plus there butter they provided almost didn't even taste like butter. Sort of a bummer given the price. For dessert, I got the Florentine cup, which I hoped would taste like a cookie I like very much... my hopes were dashed. The cream filling was not rich and didn't seem to match the dessert. Lastly, I won't knock this place necessarily for it, but it seems like most of PCB has a rather weak beer selection.

Best servers-attentive, fun and accommodating to several allergies (wonderful at all 3 tables serving 26), and the food was great.

We chose to celebrate my wife's birthday at Captain Anderson's Restaurant this week, and have never enjoyed a restaurant meal as much as this one.

We both love seafood and have had the opportunity to dine at seafood restaurants all over the world, and the US in particular. Our dinner this week was outstanding and far surpassed our expectations. The seafood platter had very generous portions and every item had its own distinctive flavor, rather than the typical all items tasting the same. My wife's shrimp and grits were equally unique and delicious. The service was just as good as the food.

We don't "eat out" very often, but anytime we do so while we remain in Panama City, it will be at Captain Anderson's.

I can't comprehend why Captain Anderson's only has three and a half stars. Everyone in our party of 7 had an absolutely delicious meal at this restaurant. I highly recommend the She Crab Soup. Our waitress Annie was wonderful and she was very attentive to our needs. The view of the wharf was great and all of the nautical decorations throughout added greatly to the dining experience.

Great views from our table into the marina. Service was good and friendly. Cocktail was ok. The crab fingers were good. SheCrab soup was excellent. The menu is quite large with a number of fish selections. The Imperial Grouper is quite good. I think it was a little undercooked, but still had good flavor. Crispy skin on the baked potato was excellent!

The food is amazing as always. Waiter was very good and perfect with suggestions. The stuffed grouper is by far my favorite. Get it every time we come.

One of our favorite restaurants in PCB. Lots of restaurants were recommended but this one is by far one of the best. I ordered the grilled chiurrasco steak with their cheesy potatoes. Yum! The steak was like butter. Absolutely delicious! And don't you dare get too full because you have to leave room for their in house made desserts. They are SO good! Overall a great spot! If we could have gone there every day for dinner we would have. It never disappoints.
