      Too cool!
      I presume they were bred in the Aquarium. I remember they had some adults on display several years ago, but I suppose these are from more recent arrivals.
      This species is a giant compared to the other freshwater pipefishes, but there are marine species which are as large.

      I'm not sure if they have been bred in the aquarium, whether or not, they will be a nice addition to Islands. Looking forward to seeing them in 2015.

      Well they hadn't got any adults of this species on the last members day,so if they have got some adults they came in after then!

      This species is rarely imported and they look like youngsters: I can't find any advertised in the trade at the moment so I guess they are captive bred, perhaps from another aquarium or a private breeder.
      This species would certainly be appropriate for Islands as it is found as far east as Kalimantan and also reported from Sulawesi and the Philippines, as well on the Asian mainland.
