The specific embodiment
Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 illustrate according to toothbrush 10 of the present invention.Toothbrush 10 comprises brush rod 12, bar neck 14 and toothbrush head 20.Being generally bunch 30 form of cleaning elements 50 is to be fixed in toothbrush head 20 to be used for user's tooth and gum are cleaned. This cleaning element be preferably tapered bristles (such as, see Fig. 3 and Fig. 4), though this cleaning element also can or comprise taper and/or the various forms of elastomers of non-conical component or other cleaning element form by non-tapered bristles. As Fig. 2 and shown in Figure 5, bunches 30 and the cleaning element 50 that combines with it be preferably the special type cleaning profile (i.e. the set profile of the far-end of the cleaning element of suitable engage tooth) that on toothbrush head 20, is formed for improving cleaning capacity.Though what illustrate in the drawings is the simple arc profile of cleaning element, in fact can use any special type profile.
In a kind of structure, toothbrush head 20 comprises the installation surface 24 with a plurality of holes that separate 40, and each accepts cluster tapered brush tuft 30 or other cleaning elements 50.Can form hole 40 makes it each accepts the cleaning element of same number and type or the cleaning element of different number or type.Such as, a plurality of holes 40 can be accepted single tooth care elements 50, as massage elements, and remaining hole 40 is accepted tooth care elements 50, as bristle, bunches 30.
In one embodiment, each bristle 50 has anchor portion 54 and a pair of strand 55 (Fig. 3) that extends to terminal 52.Anchor portion 54 is fit to be fixed in the hole 40, generally is to form one bunch 30 with a plurality of other bristles.Strand 55 stretches out to engage and to clean user's tooth and gum from toothbrush head 20.Every strand 55 can make taper as shown in Figure 3.Another substitute mode is that a strand can be 55 ' of taper, another strand 55 " then not (Fig. 4).This non-tapered strand 55 " can unlike tapered strand 55 ', grow, so that its not action of brushing teeth of cone of confusion strand 55 '.This taper work terminal 52 can enter tooth zone line and tooth and gum zone line better, and enters deeplyer therebetween so that clean effectively.Under two kinds of situations any, this kind bristle is called tapered bristles 50 herein. In addition, this kind bristle can be formed by fiber, elastomeric material or the like, and the strand that comes down to any shape of cross section and the shape of cross section of even or variation that has equal in length or do not wait.
As shown in Figure 3, tapered bristles generally comprises with the non-taper base portion 56 of having of being right after of installed surface 24 and is used to engage the taper work portion 60 of user's tooth and gum.The tapered portion 60 of each cleaning element 50 is extended in the middle of an A and operational terminal 52.In the embodiment that illustrates, each does not all have tapered portion cleaning element 50 in the middle of its anchor portion 54 and some A.Just as an example, the distance of some A and relevant terminal 52 can be greatly about between the 6.5mm to 12mm.In a preferred embodiment, some A is positioned at and terminal 52 about 10.5mm places.Even so, but the distance of some A and anchor portion 54 can be close or away from, perhaps strand can become taper along its whole length. In addition, bristle can be a strand or separately become strand more than two. Also having, is not that the cleaning unit of bristle also can comprise same characteristics.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 5, each all has same length (though this point is unimportant) for preferred bristle or cleaning element 50.The hole 40 relative datum faces 70 of accepting these cleaning elements 50 have different insertion depths in the hope of producing desired special type cleaning profile.Datum level 70 is roughly parallel to the plane that engages user's tooth (i.e. the plane of the imagination of roughly extending along the outer surface of two adjacent teeth), and with surperficial outermost part is installed with prolonging. In this embodiment, datum level and installed surface 24 are with prolonging. In a kind of structure, bunches 30 are fixed in and make strand 55 stretch out and separate with toothbrush head 20 from installed surface 24 in the hole 40.The degree of depth decision cleaning element of hole 40 leaves the length that installed surface 24 extends, thereby produces special type cleaning profile. Can recognize that adjacent holes 40 can be extended same distance or different distance from installed surface 24 in toothbrush head 20.
In one example, first hole 42 extends first distance L 1 (Fig. 5) from installed surface 24 in toothbrush head 20.Second hole 44 extends second distance L2 from installed surface 24 in toothbrush head 20.Second distance L2 is in this example, big than first distance. But, second distance can be less than (or equaling) first distance, and this depends on the special type of desired cleaning profile.Equally, toothbrush head 20 can comprise the 3rd hole 46 that extends the 3rd distance L 3 in toothbrush head 20.This 3rd distance can be greater than or less than any one or both in first distance and the second distance. Can recognize, can use the hole of any number that is provided with at different depth. In the example of Fig. 5, toothbrush head 20 comprises the hole 42 of a plurality of extension first distances, the hole 46 of the hole 44 of a plurality of extension second distances and a plurality of extension the 3rd distance.
The cross section of hole 40 roughly is circular, though hole can have the cross section of Any shape, comprises square, rectangle, rhombus, cross or the like.In one example, hole 40 have about 1.2 and 2.0mm between diameter, and the degree of depth is general extends about 2-5mm.But also can use other the diameter and the degree of depth as requested.
Tapered bristles generally is used for the length making of toothbrush according to setting. As mentioned above, the bristle with same length can be used to form special type cleaning profile and need not it is pruned or makes its nose-circle blunt. In addition, use and to make the different bristle of length and also can be used for determining special type cleaning profile adopting or do not adopt to change under the situation that hole lengths or bristle insert the degree of depth in the toothbrush head. From Fig. 5 A as can be known, first of first length group of tapered bristles 50a is fixed in the hole 40a.Similarly, second group of tapered bristles 50b of second length shorter than first length is fixed in the hole 40b.In this structure, count hole 40a and 40b has the same degree of depth from installed surface 24 '.But, can recognize that the tapered bristles that size is different is fixed in and can be used for determining various cleaning profiles in the toothbrush head.Just as an example, tapered bristles can form the length overall that has 30mm and 26mm respectively.Because the characteristic that bristle can bend in use, this will produce the difference of about 2mm the projected length of bunch 30a, the 30b that extend from toothbrush head 20 '.Also can use the different length of other length and other number to determine desired special type cleaning profile.Bristle can certainly be fixed within the toothbrush head by being anchored in the preformed hole.At last, the combination of different holes and different bristle lengths can be used for forming any special type profile with tapered bristles in fact with approach to cooperation.
Though Fig. 5 illustrates the hole with uniform shapes and orientation, insertion depth can change with other alternative. Can constitute bent angle or segmental arc 48,49 forms (Fig. 6, Fig. 7) by mutual bending such as, hole 47.In this diagrammatic sketch, the axis 65 that is approximately perpendicular to toothbrush head for first section 48 extends, and second section 49 toothbrush head 20 in first section angulation extension. In this example, second section 49 relative first section angle that forms about 45 or 90 degree. But, second section relative first section orientation that almost can have any angle. Also can use additional bent angle or segmental arc (promptly greater than 2) further to increase the insertion depth of cleaning element. Can recognize, insertion depth be the length measured along cleaning element in addition, the length of insertion depth (or molded toothbrush head of entering same shape) the be section 48,49 of cleaning element in hole 47 and.Use this kind non-linear section to allow that hole has different insertion depths and need not to extend much further into toothbrush head.In addition, even hole extends different distances from installed surface 24 really, adopt the non-linear thickness that section can reduce toothbrush head that embeds.
Can think that the cleaning element 50 that inserts common hole 40 is common points that are fixed on below its base portion 56, and be a part with cluster 30.Similarly, can think that single bunch of cleaning element (such as, bristle) has the same height of counting from toothbrush head, even the difference of its stretching, extension is little.Cleaning element 50 can pass through technique known, comprises, such as, hammer into, implantation or bonding, be fixed in bunch hole.Cleaning element also can pass through other modes, as with cleaning element by molded enter toothbrush head (such as, with molded cluster or the free cluster mode of anchor sheet), but do not comprise and be pre-formed hole, be anchored within the toothbrush head.No matter in which way cleaning element is fixed within the toothbrush head, cleaning element can be fixed with different length or insertion depth, and adopts or do not adopt crooked embedding section.
Other modes of the present invention comprise using to have the toothbrush head of on-plane surface installed surface 24.The groove 72 (Fig. 8) that can comprise installed surface 24a and following installed surface 24b in the formation such as, toothbrush head 20a.In this example, bristle exceed its separately installed surface 24a, 24b extend into equidistance in the toothbrush head, no matter it is to be installed on preformed hole, the molded toothbrush head that enters is still otherwise bonding. In this kind embodiment, bristle relative datum face 70a is fixed within the toothbrush head with different insertion depths. In this occasion, datum level and last installed surface 24a are with prolonging.
The toothbrush head 20b of another kind of mode comprises an arc installed surface 24c (Fig. 9).Enter within the toothbrush head and installed surface 24 same distance places though bristle or other cleaning elements be extensible, its each relative datum face 70b has different insertion depths. The plane of the user's tooth when this datum level is roughly parallel to and engage uses, and from the most external extension of installed surface.Certainly, also can in having any toothbrush head of on-plane surface installed surface, use non-linear embedding section.
The common feature of each of these embodiments is that the insertion depth that is roughly parallel in use the composition surface that is formed by tooth relatively is different, and is to extend (promptly referring to the projecting direction outside from toothbrush head towards cleaning element) from the most external of installed surface.Insertion depth is determined by the length that cleaning element extends from reference plane.Cleaning element is the air line distance (no matter having straight line or crooked embedding section) that the axis along cleaning element extends apart from the straight length on this plane, rather than from the datum level to the cleaning element actual range of part farthest. In the ordinary toothbrush with Plane Installation face, datum level and installed surface are with prolonging.Yet, when adopting the on-plane surface installed surface, can think that datum level is its extension of most external from installed surface.
Among in the above-described embodiment any, cleaning element 50 can stretch out in direction from toothbrush head 20 perpendicular to installed surface 24 (such as, see Fig. 5) or toothbrush head 20 relatively " installed surface 24 " constitute different angles (such as, see Fig. 5 B).Like this, the oral hygiene benefit that just can select the combination of cleaning element configuration, material and orientation to provide attempt to reach is cleaned as increasing cleaning capacity, tooth, tooth adds white, gingival massage and/or comfort level.
By cleaning element is fixed in toothbrush head with different insertion depths, can obtain special type cleaning profile and after need not in being fixed to toothbrush head to cleaning element further form (such as, prune or make its nose-circle blunt). Therefore, the operation of whole process can be saved in the manufacture craft process. In addition, this processing technology helps using tapered bristles in special type cleaning profile. At last, this processing technology can be applied to wide range of manufacturing processes, such as, bristle is fixed in preformed hole or at the scene bristle is overmolded within the toothbrush head.
Though only disclosed several toothbrush flexible programs herein, the present invention, such as, can be applied to have among the toothbrush of flexible program of multiple toothbrush head, brush rod and material. In addition, this kind toothbrush can be the power drive toothbrush.Toothbrush head 20 also can be fixed in brush rod 12 with manner, no matter it is power drive type or type hand.In addition, the personage of this professional domain can recognize that above-mentioned system and technology have multiple modification and displacement.Should be appreciated that, can adopt other embodiments to change 26S Proteasome Structure and Function and need not to depart from the scope of the present invention.Like this, the spirit and scope of the present invention should be defined as that claim is described as described later.
