头发和/或皮肤的调理是个人护理组合物(特别是调理剂、洗发剂和沐浴露)的最重要的属性之一。已知阳离子聚合物提供调理效益,但趋于聚集在头发上并导致柔软和/或难处理的头发。包含油性(聚硅氧烷)或蜡制(脂肪酸)材料的其他调理剂是已知的,但有若干缺点,包括当与表面活性剂一起使用时聚硅氧烷洗掉头发的倾向。因此,重要的是本领域开发提供与聚硅氧烷类似的美观性能的新的非阳离子调理剂和制剂。
类似地,需要调理型洗发剂,其可以清洁、调理并增加易处理性,例如,具有改善的卷发(curl)保持性和卷曲(frizz)控制性(也就是说,减少卷发外观或强度,所述卷曲为本领域中关于独立和非一致地由静电、潮湿或损害引起的个体头发纤维的美学观点上不合需要的外观的术语)。

“个人护理”涉及局部施用于个人(包括口、耳和鼻腔,但非摄入)的组合物。个人护理组合物的实例包括皮肤护理产品(例如,面霜、保湿剂、免洗液和冲洗液(rinse off lotion)、防晒霜、粉底、染眉毛油、眼线、唇膏、清洁剂等)和头发护理产品(包括洗发剂、免洗调理剂和冲洗调理剂、定型凝胶和头发定型剂)。优选地,所述个人护理组合物是洗发剂、冲洗调理剂、免洗调理剂或沐浴露。优选地,所述个人护理组合物不是乳状液。
“化妆品用可接受”是指通常用于个人护理组合物中的成分,且旨在强调当以通常用于个人护理组合物的量存在时具有毒性的材料不预期作为本发明的一部分。
共聚合乙烯与丙烯酸产生乙烯-丙烯酸(EAA)共聚物,其称为柔性热塑性塑料,用于泡罩包装等。优选的乙烯丙烯酸共聚物包含大于约15重量%的丙烯酸,优选大于约17重量%的丙烯酸,更优选约20重量%丙烯酸。应理解本发明描述的范围包括所有的再组合范围。
优选的EAA共聚物是PRIMACOR 5990共聚物(20重量%丙烯酸),其熔融指数为1300g/10分钟(ASTM法D-1238于190℃)以及布氏粘度为350°F时13,000cps,且可从陶氏化学公司获得。另一种优选的EAA共聚物是PRIMACOR 5980i共聚物(20.5重量%丙烯酸),其熔融指数为300g/10分钟(ASTM法D-1238于190℃),可从陶氏化学公司获得。EAA共聚物也可从E.I.du Pont de Nemours and Company,Inc以商标NUCREL2806获得。乙烯-丙烯酸和乙烯-甲基丙烯酸共聚物描述在美国专利4,599,392、4,988,781和5,938,437中,各专利以引用方式全部合并于此。
机械分散器(例如Parr反应器)用于产生水性分散体。
在一个实施方式中,水性分散体的固体含量为约10重量%到约30重量%,优选约20重量%。
而水性分散体以个人护理组合物重量的约0.05重量%到约10重量%、优选约0.25重量%到约5重量%的固体存在。
乙烯丙烯酸共聚物以水性分散体重量的约15重量%到约60重量%的固体存在。
应理解含有乙烯丙烯酸共聚物的水性分散体可以包括其他成分,例如,至少一种抗头屑活性剂(吡啶硫酮锌(zinc pyrithione)、水杨酸或硒化合物)、防晒活性剂(有机或无机的)、颜料、芳香剂、植物制剂、氨基酸或维生素。
在本发明的优选实施方式中,水性分散体包含乙烯丙烯酸共聚物和茂金属催化聚烯烃。通常,乙烯丙烯酸共聚物和茂金属催化聚烯烃的聚合物比率为约40∶60到约15∶85。在这些实施方式中,水性分散体的固体含量为约30重量%到约50重量%,优选约40重量%。乙烯丙烯酸共聚物以水性分散体重量的约15重量%到约60重量%的固体存在,优选以约35重量%到约45重量%的固体存在。这与以水性分散体重量的约1重量%到约25重量%、优选约5重量%到约20重量%存在的乙烯丙烯酸共聚物相关。
茂金属催化聚烯烃是如美国专利4,701,432、5,322,728和5,272,236所描述的以茂金属制备的聚烯烃,各专利以引用方式全部合并于此。作为本发明的一个具体实施方式,茂金属催化聚烯烃是以茂金属催化剂制备的聚乙烯。这种茂金属催化聚烯烃可例如从陶氏化学公司以商标AFFINITY或ENGAGE(乙烯/辛烯共聚物)以及从Exxon化学公司以商标EXACT(乙烯/丁烯共聚物、乙烯/己烯共聚物或乙烯/丁烯/己烯三元共聚物)获得。在一个实施方式中,茂金属催化聚烯烃是乙烯/辛烯共聚物、乙烯/丁烯共聚物、乙烯/己烯共聚物、乙烯/丙烯或乙烯/丁烯/己烯三元共聚物中的至少一种,优选是乙烯辛烯共聚物。在另一个实施方式中,茂金属催化聚烯烃是丙烯/α-烯烃共聚物,其在美国专利6,960,635和6,525,157进一步详细描述,各专利以引用方式全部合并于此。这种丙烯/α-烯烃共聚物可从陶氏化学公司以商标VERSIFYTM或从ExxonMobil化学公司以商标VISTAMAXXTM商购获得。

在一个实施方式中,混合物是阴离子表面活性剂和第二表面活性剂(即椰油酰两性基二乙酸二钠、癸基葡萄糖苷或椰油酰胺丙基甜菜碱)的组合。在一个实施方式中,所述第二表面活性剂以组合物重量的约1重量%到约10重量%、优选约1重量%到约8重量%、更优选约2重量%到约6重量%的量存在。

具体实施方式
以下实施例仅用于说明性目的,而不意欲限制本发明范围。除非另作说明,所有百分比为重量百分比。
实施例1
本发明的个人护理组合物包括水性分散体,其含有乙烯丙烯酸共聚物。这种水性分散体的实例包括以下:
批次A
将PRIMACOR 5980i乙烯丙烯酸树脂(133g)、氢氧化钾(17.2g)和水(200g)放入配有Cowles叶片的300mL Parr反应器中。在缓慢搅拌下使材料加热到120℃。一旦达到设定温度,高速(约1800rpm)运转混合器25分钟。在仍然保持高速混合下,用HPLC泵以40mL/min的速度以送入反应器的水使样品稀释到基于Primacor量的23%固体的所需浓度。停止加热并继续搅拌直到温度冷却到至少45℃。然后打开Parr并收集分散体。
批次B
将PRIMACOR 5980i 20%乙烯丙烯酸树脂(30.7g)、氢氧化钾(4g)和水(92g)放入配有Cowles叶片的Parr反应器中。在缓慢搅拌下使材料加热到120℃。一旦达到设定温度,高速(约1800rpm)运转混合器约25分钟。停止加热并继续搅拌直到温度冷却到至少30℃。
将12.9g的这种水性分散体与23.9g吡啶硫酮锌(ZPT)分散体(从Arch Chemicals以商标ZINC OMADINE获得的(48.8%活性剂))组合,并在Parr反应器中混合。在室温下高速(约1800rpm)混合材料25分钟。然后收集最终的水性分散体,获得ZPT∶PRIMACOR的比率为4∶1。
批次C
乙烯丙烯酸和茂金属催化聚烯烃(从陶氏化学公司以商标HYPOD8510购得,其使用Dow的BLUEWAVE技术制备)的41.7%固体水性分散体。
实施例2
示例的个人护理洗发剂组合物包含表1所示基于重量/重量(重量%)的组分。

实施例4
基本上根据实施例2和3的方案制备组合物。欧洲未受损棕色(Virgin-Brown)头发和漂白8小时的头发(从International Hair Importersand Products Inc.获得)的预洗并预水合的头发条以0.5g的这些洗发剂制剂处理。洗发剂渗入头发1分钟,然后在38℃在流动的自来水下以0.4gal./min水流速度冲洗。
悬挂头发条用于湿发感官评价研究。头发条完全干燥后,进行干发感官评价。要求经训练以评价化妆产品对头发的性能的十位专家评审者评价湿发和干发阶段的梳理性能和感觉。每位评审者评价一对头发条——用本发明组合物处理的一束头发条和用对比组合物处理的一束头发条。要求评审者选出具有较好的湿发和干发属性的一束头发条。棕色头发的结果在表3A中给出,漂白头发的结果在表3B中给出。

结果表明批次A和批次C具有有效调理材料的功能并具有与先进调理组分相比同等或更好的性能。
在单独评估中,采集用制剂A(包含批次C)洗涤以及正常冲洗(自来水下1分钟)和过度冲洗(自来水下1分钟+在一杯水中浸泡30次,每5-10次浸泡后挤出水)的漂白8小时的头发的扫描电子显微照片。用制剂A洗涤和正常冲洗的头发甚至在吹干后显示颗粒沉积。用制剂A洗涤和过度冲洗的头发上不显示颗粒,这表明用包含聚烯烃的洗发剂洗涤的头发上的颗粒沉积不多,其可以过度的冲洗去除。
在另一个评估中,用制剂A或对比例3如上所述洗涤头发条(经8小时漂白)并干燥。使用来自Dia-Stron Limited,Hampshie,UK的DIA-STRON装置获取客观干发梳理测定(Objective dry combingmeasurements)。拉动通过头发的梳子所需的力越小,头发越顺滑。制剂A显示与风干的对比例3一样好或更好的干发梳理力(2189比2220),且明显好于吹干(656比1621),表示甚至在不存在阳离子聚合物时优异的调理性能。
在另一个评估中,用制剂A、制剂B或对比例1如上所述洗涤头发条(经8小时漂白)并干燥。受损很严重的头发(例如经8小时漂白的头发)的亲水性明显大于未受损棕色头发,因为一旦头发受损,保护性脂肪酸从头发剥离,这使其更加亲水。疏水性可通过取代脂肪酸涂层来用作修复量度标准,并表明洗发期间头发上物质的沉淀。在经漂白头发上,制剂A和制剂B的疏水性(通过前进接触角(advancing contact angle)测定)分别为55.8±11.5、85.3±0.85,相比之下,未经处理的8小时漂白头发的疏水性为45.2±4.40。对比例1不增加疏水性,因此,据信阳离子聚合物调理头发的机制与本发明制剂不同。
实施例5
示例的个人护理冲洗调理组合物包含表4所示基于重量/重量(重量%)的组分。

实施例8
示例的个人护理免洗调理剂组合物包含表6所示基于重量/重量(重量%)的组分。

实施例11
基本上根据实施例9和10的方案制备组合物并施用于未受损棕色头发上。基本上根据实施例4所述方法处理头发条,且制剂F比对比例5的组合物多至少25%的锌沉淀在头发上(17.1ppm对比13.6ppm)。
实施例12
示例的个人护理洗发剂组合物包含表9所示基于重量/重量(重量%)的组分。

以顶置式搅拌器搅拌下(约500rpm),将基础表面活性剂缓慢加热至约74℃。继续搅拌直到表面活性剂为溶液形式。加入二硬脂酸乙二酯(如果有),且搅拌直到溶解。冷却到室温。加入批次A或批次C。加入10%柠檬酸并搅拌约10分钟。加入防腐剂并用适量水加至100g。以约500rpm搅拌约15分钟。
实施例12(对比例)
常规的个人护理洗发剂组合物包含表10所示基于重量/重量(重量%)的组分。

以顶置式搅拌器搅拌下(约500rpm)将基础表面活性剂缓慢加热至约74℃。继续搅拌直到表面活性剂为溶液形式。加入二硬脂酸乙二酯(如果有)且搅拌直到溶解。冷却到室温。加入10%柠檬酸并搅拌约10分钟。加入防腐剂并用适量水加至100g。以约500rpm搅拌约15分钟。
实施例13
基本上根据实施例11和12的方案制备组合物。欧洲未受损棕色头发和漂白8小时的头发(从International Hair Importers and Products Inc.(Floral Park,NY)获得)的预洗并预水合的十英寸长发条以0.5g制剂处理,制剂渗入头发1分钟,然后在38℃在流动的自来水下以0.4gal./min水流速度冲洗。
在38℃的烘箱中干燥一组头发条。头发条完全干燥后,用铁卷发器卷曲头发条一分钟。释放卷发,拍摄卷发条的照片用于评估。
另一组头发条用卷夹卷曲,对角地将湿头发作用于65mm x 20mm卷夹上,用两个大的发夹固定在原位。这些头发在环境温度下风干3天,然后在45℃的烘箱中放置一小时以确保它们彻底干燥。然后去除卷夹,将卷曲的头发条在高湿度腔室(25℃,90%相对湿度)中放置24小时。从湿度腔室中取出卷发条,拍摄卷发条的照片用于评估。
要求经训练以评价化妆产品对头发的性能的十五位专家评审者一起评价制剂G对比对比例6和制剂H对比对比例7对于干发卷曲和湿发卷曲过程的卷发保持性和卷曲控制性的照片。
十五位专家评审者中的十五位相对于对比例6更优先选择制剂G,换句话说,无异议地确定本发明组合物在干发卷曲和湿发卷曲测试中比常规制剂具有更好的卷发保持性和卷曲控制性。十五位专家评审者中的十五位相对于对比例7更优先选择制剂H,换句话说,无异议地确定本发明组合物在干发卷曲和湿发卷曲测试中比常规制剂具有更好的卷发保持性和卷曲控制性。
应理解本发明不局限于此处具体公开并例示的实施方式。本发明的各种修改对本领域技术人员而言是显而易见的。这种变化和修改可在不离开所附权利要求的范围的情况下进行。

Claims (19)
1.个人护理组合物,包含:
水性分散体,其包含乙烯丙烯酸共聚物;和
至少一种化妆品用可接受的表面活性剂、润肤剂或化妆品用活性剂。
2.如权利要求1所述的个人护理组合物,条件是所述个人护理组合物不是乳状液。
3.如权利要求1所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述水性分散体包含至少一种抗头屑活性剂(吡啶硫酮锌、水杨酸或硒化合物)、防晒活性剂(有机或无机的)、颜料、芳香剂、植物制剂、氨基酸或维生素。
4.如权利要求1所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述乙烯丙烯酸共聚物以水性分散体重量的约15重量%到约60重量%、优选以约15重量%到约25重量%存在。
5.如权利要求1所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述水性分散体还包含茂金属催化聚烯烃。
6.如权利要求5所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述乙烯丙烯酸共聚物以水性分散体重量的约1重量%到约25重量%、优选以约5重量%到约20重量%存在。
7.如权利要求5所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述茂金属催化聚烯烃包含乙烯/辛烯共聚物、乙烯/丁烯共聚物、乙烯/己烯共聚物、乙烯/丙烯或乙烯/丁烯/己烯三元共聚物中的至少一种,优选乙烯辛烯共聚物。
8.如权利要求5所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述乙烯丙烯酸共聚物和茂金属催化聚烯烃的聚合物比率为约40∶60到约15∶85。
9.如权利要求1所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述水性分散体以个人护理组合物重量的约0.05重量%到约10重量%、优选约0.25重量%到约5重量%存在。
10.如权利要求1所述的个人护理组合物,还包含聚硅氧烷,前提是所述聚硅氧烷不在水性分散体中。
11.如权利要求10所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述聚硅氧烷以个人护理组合物重量的约0.1重量%到约5重量%、优选约0.75重量%到约3重量%、更优选约1重量%到约2重量%存在。
12.如权利要求1所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述表面活性剂存在,且其是洗涤剂用表面活性剂。
13.如权利要求1所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述表面活性剂存在,且其是非离子表面活性剂。
14.如权利要求1所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述个人护理组合物是洗发剂、冲洗调理剂、免洗调理剂或沐浴露。
15.调理头发的方法,包括将权利要求1或4所述的个人护理组合物施用于头发。
16.调理头发的方法,包括将权利要求8所述的个人护理组合物施用于头发。
17.增加头发易处理性的方法,包括将权利要求12所述的个人护理组合物施用于头发。
18.如权利要求17所述的方法,其中所述水性分散体还包含茂金属催化聚烯烃。
19.如权利要求17或18所述的方法,其中所述易处理性显示为增加的卷发保持性和增加的卷曲控制性。
